This is the exact joystick I use! It's awesome for the price, never had any complaints. Obviously, pay more and you'll get more, but for what is it's a nice choice.

I remember this, a lot. And that it forced me to calibrate a joystick I almost never used. Played the demo tons of times, failing costantly. Good ol times. XD

I loved the use of your pre-pubescent voice to imitate your reaction to the game back in the day. Makes me wonder how closely you actually sounded like that as a kid, though I guess most of us sounded like higher pitched versions of ourselves anyways... hehe :)

I've been meaning to go back and play a little Rebel Assault.. Although it was on rails it was a lot more "arcadey" than this series of games.

XvT was always the disappointing one for me - pretty much for the reasons you give (pre BoT addon of course). But beyond that… I'm torn with the music - proper John Williams music is awesome… but iMuse added so much to the dogfighting experience! :( Then again, my soul belongs to the Imperials ever since I played the original when I got TIE Fighter for my first PC.
