LGR - The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff Review

I'm sure there will be a lot of people who end up having back ups of this stuff, but I definitely see any official means of obtaining this digital-only content fizzling away. Wasn't this actually the case with some Sims 2 items off the store or exclusive download codes that you got with a stuff pack/expansion pack or two? Then of course, some companies release a HD remaster or a way to download a classic game onto your console, like the Wii, Wii U, PS Vita, and etc. Though how long until they may not be able to access an online server for this later down the road either?

I am really wondering how this digital-only future will go down. I'm assuming a lot of games will be lost :/

LGR

I love the town of hot tubs, that was just brilliant! Also, I am kind of disappointed with EA no longer releasing packs on a physical disc in a physical case. I always felt that it was a way of 'collecting' Sims games and having it on hand for whenever they decide to kill off the whole online store like they did for Sims 2 for example. I mean what would we do if Sims 4 was done away with for Sims 6 or so? Have.. erm.. 'backups' made some how?

Proof of your apathy for these new Sims 4 Stuff Packs: One of the clips you ran at the end of the video also ran into its end of video segment, creating a meta end of video inside of the end of this video. :B

Very important, pressing (joke) questions I have: 1) Is hot tub sex feasible? It seems appealing at first, but wouldn't you get too much water in orifices you don't want them in? It would be just as awkward as you watching naked Duke Nukem have sex in a hot tub with a random naked chick while you are in the same hot tub naked and wanting to leave to pee.... wait.... that seems familiar.... 2) Would you go swimming in a giant stadium sized hot tub, or no? (I would be scared to get sucked into the holes on the sides...) 3) Are you tired of Sims 4 DLC? Do the chairs still excite you or have you lost that loving feeling? I guess these questions could be answered semi-seriously, now that I think about it... haha, oh well. :)

Sorry, I got confused. I'm also used to the French terms rather than the English ones.

Game Packs? Nah, those are nicely-priced for the amount of new and interesting gameplay you get, and totally different than what this video is talking about though. Now, Stuff Packs like in this video don't make much sense to me, seeing as those DO come with too many chairs and redundant stuff like that.

LGR

True, but don't you think they are overpriced, especially when half the items are boring objects like chairs? I understand the appeal of being able to pay less for something that really interests you, but to me it's more often than not an empty offer.

Sabrina

I absolutely would not be buying these packs on launch, no. I still want them all for collecting purposes or whatever, but I'd wait for a big sale. Stuff Packs are mostly a waste. However, I like the idea of Game Packs a lot though, and really do look forward to more of those since they're like mini-expansions with unique ideas.

LGR

Really, I'm impressed by your cynicism more and more at every video about Sims 4, which encourages me in my decision not to spend money on this game. You probably mentionned it before, but it seems obvious that EA's new strategy lies in selling packages at a low price to lure people while actually offering less. The same is happening in supermarkets. Some products come in slightly smaller sizes and yet, the price stays the same. Meanwhile, most costumers don't notice the difference and keep buying. Anyway, it's sneaky and gross. If you were not reviewing the Sims regularly for the viewers (and for your own pleasure), would you keep buying all the expansions and packs for the Sims 4 or would you give up on EA?
