A3D is awesome, I use a Diamond Monster Sound MX400 Vortex2 card to record any games on Windows the support it. Hoping to do a video on it someday!

As you mention, the sequel dialled down the supernatural elements and focused and polished the core mechanics. I purchased an Aureal soundcard pretty much for this game, as it used the Aureal spatial modelling to create very accurate sound propagation. Many years, perhaps a decade, ahead of Sound Blaster technology. Awesome, Clint. I remember only having a demo of Thief in an Eidos demo disc when I was a kid (I think I borrowed it from someone who bought one of the Tomb Raider games), but I loved every second of it.

This the one computer I've always been curious about. But have never owned. Kind of reminds me of the Tandy 1000EX.

My first impression of Thief back in the day was amazing. It was my first time experiencing a stealth game. But as soon as I had to start swordfighting with guards, I completely lost interest. Unfortunately, I never went back to try again.
