My heart hurts! How dare they! I was really loving Ashford and his story, I wanted to learn about his past and see his friendship with Drummer shine on! I'm not happy about this -MARCO HOW DARE YOU! Great finale to a season as always though, love how they've set up season 5 as well. Filip, please be kind! I beg! Bring on another brilliant season!

2025-08-22 22:44:42 +0000 UTCReading between the lines with Ashford, there's actually a nice little bit of his backstory that we can make out in this episode. I agree with you that his line about violence being indiscriminate and that it can sometimes come back and hurt the people you love the most, is a very important line for him. Pairing that line, along with Ashford's speech to his crew about not killing indiscriminately because it can lead to the victim's loved ones to seek revenge, it seems very apparent that Ashford's daughter unfortunately died in a reprisal attack in revenge for something Ashford did in the past. So I think this all culminates in that final scene with Marco. Ashford 100% went into that battle with the intent of killing Marco. But killing him in front of Filip could motivate Filip to seek revenge on not only Ashford, but on those that Ashford cares for. I think Ashford chose not to even try to shoot Marco because it may have eventually led to Filip wanting to punish Ashford by killing Drummer, someone who had turned into a daughter like figure for Ashford. I just think all of Ashford's scenes in this episode were written brilliantly. On another note, this is the first time we fully get to see Marco's vac suit. I actually own that prop.
