Olivia travelled through worlds!!!! It's happening!!! I'm terrified...standard. Walternate is really playing into his manipulative role here and it's so sickening. I loved seeing alt Broyles and watching him struggle with knowing what he knows whilst everyone else is blissfully unaware. Alt-Olivias mum is also picking up on changes with Liv. I imagine it wont be long now...I am struggling with not following up on what AltOlivia did in the previous episode though!

Dakara, this is not a criticism in any way, but you seem to misunderstand Walternate completely. First, Walternate did mention to Broyles that to try to remove people from Amber would weaken the structural integrity of the Amber - and it makes sense why they would keep this info under wraps. People who lost loved ones in Amber would not care that much and they might try to get them out anyways which would mean a lot more wormholes and damage to the universe, remember that all amber is used for is to plug holes in the fabric of the universe. Second, you menitoned Walternate keeping secrets from the team and / or Broyles. For this one, you have to remember that Walternate is the Secretary of Defense, one of the highest positions in the goverment of the US which means he is 50 levels higher than Broyles and managing the Fringe team is one of his many responsibilities. Also, you have to put in perspective that this is a much darker world, they probably lost hundreds of millions of people, their world is dying. Wouldn't you do anything in your power, however morally gray, in order to save your world? Look at it this way, we don't call our soldiers, murderers, because they killed people in the line of duty. The same principle applies to the people of the alt-verse.

2025-02-18 15:05:36 +0000 UTCBOTH ashmore twins were in smallville, actually! shawn (aka iceman from the x-men movies) played an early show meteor freak that took clark's powers and aaron played jimmy olson in later seasons. it's really interesting how both of them are famous and do roles both separately and together; i feel like when an actor has an identical twin, they're never as famous or well known so i just find it cool that they're both so active and well known in the business (obviously shawn is a bit moreso these days because of his longstanding and iconic role in x-men but aaron is far from faded) olivia's clothes seem to be becoming closer to her usual style (closer fitting but comfortable, in neutral/lowkey colors) instead of fauxlivia's puffy jackets and combat boot/tucked in cargo pant look, a cross between militaristic and attention grabbing. at least, as close as she can get while working with the closet she has lol. that black jacket is pretty similar to the one she wore when she crossed over with the others to get peter. it's like a hybrid style as she still has the pants/boots but it's somehow less eye catching wooo, just look at these redverse people being swayed by olivia's passion and goodness! at least that's how i interpret it lol. love the looks from broyles (also, another example of our olivia's penchant for breaking protocol to do the right thing or follow a lead.) the plot on the red side is all about the internal struggle and personally, i think it's expressed perfectly through their cases so far; the pattern guy couldn't pin down olivia because of the core of her is still our olivia and the twin story is explained in the episode itself lol. i guess it is technically slower but i never noticed because the emotional journey was always so engaging to me, so interesting. and yes, i find the red episodes so comforting, too! lol thanks picking my comment at the end there!
