Hello All!
Did I just see a teleportation device?! That could open up a whole new world of story opportunities! Very exciting. I felt for Walter yet again in this one, going to the place that he'd been trapped in for so many years, talking to his friend that was struggling, looking out for Olivia and Peter looking out for his Dad! It was a fab episode, yet to watch a bad one.

I came across a review of Fringe where the author said something to the effect that if any show deserved the title of spiritual successor to The X-Files, it would be this one. As an X-Files fan I agree. It's not a direct comparison, but something about this show just hits the right spots in a way that makes it feel special.

2024-09-09 23:37:39 +0000 UTCI was really into this show. It had a touch of the magic the X-Files had for me, so that helps. I tend to get into the story being told in the episodes. I do also really like good characters, though. But if they don't do a good job in the stuff surrounding the character elements. I really don't like it when they just focus mostly on the character stuff and the rest of it is half-assed. Some shows do that. But this show doesn't, and I like that. They put in a good effort into making the surrounding elements worth watching too. Another thing I love is when a show gives the viewer insider information that the characters aren't given. I get so impatient and want to know what's going on. Like when we found out about Sam drinking demon blood before Dean did, so we knew what was going on with him. That's what I wanted with this show, but they were just giving us bits and pieces. A good kind of frustration, though. Regarding your concern about not talking much - I think you're right in needing to pay attention. It would be so easy to miss something. The only option would be to pause the episode while you give your thoughts. Or, turn on captions. That could help so you don't have to worry about hearing what is being said while you're talking.

Firstly, I am so glad that you are only on episode 8 and you can already tell that this will be up there with some of your favorite shows. I definitely felt that would be the case when you started just based on your love of strong and well written characters and being that this show is just so damn good. As for you not talking too much during the show it totally makes sense. Not only do you have to try to figure out what the hell they are talking about with the science aspects but the character moments are so well done it is easy to get pulled in to the moment. Your reactions have been absolutely fine for this show in my opinion. No complaints here. I'm so glad you are enjoying it and I am looking forward to watching along as more crazy stories unfold.
