Eve as Renard really tickled me up! It was nice to have some humour again & I think these scenes were so well acted, I've gotta say. I do still miss Renard with our group though, the direction they're taking him in is making me nervous. I'm so scared for Wu yet again now! I have a feeling the miracle stick is gonna come into play again! I also loved the scene between Adalind & Nick too, I've been wanting to explore this for awhile now, so it felt nice to have some answers there too.

The MOTW part of this episode as so-so for me, but all the things happening around it was where my interest was piqued. I'm really worried about Wu. I truly have no memory of what is happening with him, or where all these different story arcs are going to go. I'm wishing the writers would give us more material with both Renard and Wu, so we can get a fuller experience of what's going on with them. I've always felt that Renard was someone who was attracted to positions of power, and his position as Captain gave him power and the position to play both sides, so to speak. He could keep an eye on the Wessen world, since many criminals seem to turn out to be Wessen. And his position has likely helped with in his dealings with his "family" and the Wessen hierarchy. Seems like he's had to have enough power and influence to be able to call his own shots and have some protection from his family. The Wessen royalty. Anyway, that's it about Renard. One comment about the MOTW for this episode. I don't think the ends justify the means with regard to what the preacher was doing. Because he was misleading his followers. Lying to them. The fact that it looked like it was helping people is also misleading. Proving help through lying at that level isn't right. And look at what it caused.

I don't remember ever seeing you with that cut and color, although it's possible and it's been so long I forgot. Anyone brave and skilled enough to put together a video compilation of every Dak hair look? As someone that went to a Catholic Grade School and an all boys Catholic High School, I really liked the not-so-subtle religious nods. Bodyguards Mark, Luke, and John, but why no Matthew? I guess 3 outta 4 ain't bad (slight Meatloaf reference - the singer, not the food); Joan Vark; 12 pieces of gold to betray Dwight/30 pieces of silver to betray Jesus; Mark hanging himself just as Judas did. The actress that played Joan Vark (Melinda Page Hamilton) gave me Kristen Bell vibes. I have to commend Sasha Roiz (Renard) on his PERFECT Eve/Juliette impersonation and his, um, "failure to launch" and being put on the back shelf made me laugh. I immediately recognized Anne Leighton, the actress playing Rachel, as she was in an episode of Lucifer during this same time period - 2015? 2016? - cool seeing her again. I almost forgot that Wu had been infected and the night sweats at the end of that episode. These new symptoms, the twinging, eyesight issues, etc are worrying. As one that has been having eyesight issues for the last year I can relate. Wu, you're one of my favorite characters, please don't let them turn you into a monster; I'm in your corner, my friend. The actor that played Dwight, the preacher, is William Mapother. He has a very distinctive face, so people remember him, just like you did. I've seen him in so many things as well, going back 20 years. A list of things you may have seen him in: Supergirl, Constantine, The Mentalist, Mad Men, Justified, Lost, Criminal Minds, etc. He's got 98 credits on IMDb. Thank you so much for the extra special shoutout Dak, that made me a bit teary eyed and emotional. I'll be playing that for my mother the next time I see her. Oh, and as for Better Call Saul, I actually liked it a bit better that Breaking Bad to be honest. But to be fair, it's obviously because I already knew some of the characters. If you do watch it, PLEASE do full Patreon reactions, I beg of you. One more thank you for the shoutout, it made my year. Update: Had dinner with mom on Easter Sunday (very thick pork chops, baked potatoes, roasted carrots, and a very nice 2022 Chardonnay from Toad Hollow Vineyards) and later showed her the shoutout clip. She smiled and said, "Ooh, you're a legend!", which gave me "You're a wizard, Harry!" vibes, but it felt a little bit like mockery. Love you mom. 😑
