IM SOBBING YET AGAIN!!! This show has destroyed me this episode, I was lost for words during my outro & I'm still struggling now. This was quite the ride! I don't think there is ANY coming back from what Juliette has done now!! T point of no return for their relationship & it makes me so sad! Side note, it was & is amazing to see Trubel again & hope she stays now. I lost count at the amount of lives in danger and faux deaths & that finale is NEXT!

Yeah, I agree, but in a way, Kelly's off screen death, worked in the sense that it disarmed us viewers too. One would normally assume that she would be fine, and not so shockingly disposed of.

It's a different experience if you've already seen the episode, as the Jack The Ripper story arc feels like a diversion and you just want to get to the return of Trubel (yay!) and the reveal at the end. I think you're right about them not being able to get Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio to guest star as Kelly, and that's a shame because Kelly's death off camera was unsatisfying for such a cool character. I know she was filming the series Limitless (2015-2016) around the time this episode was probably filmed. I've seen her in many things over the years, particularly in the '80s and '90s. As far as Juliette's role in her death, if she had actually killed her then I would hate her too, but it was, I'm assuming, the Royals and whatever Wesen they used as you could clearly hear in the background. I'm just surprised that they could take Kelly down with all the Grimm experience she had. However, Juliette is complicit in this and I don't know if any of our people can forgive her. We have to remember that the Hexenbiest side of her is in control; Dark Juliette is akin to Dark Willow, in my opinion. Redemption is possible for most people as long as it's true and from the heart. One more episode and then only two season left. Why does it seem like everything is ending around the same time? 😔 Thanks Dak!

2023-11-08 16:20:22 +0000 UTCWaiting for your reaction to this episode had me equal parts excited for, and dreading what I knew was coming. Actually so much so that I'd stayed up last night a little later than usual, mistakenly thinking that Tuesdays were Grimm nights for some reason lol. I don't think I've ever experienced a complete pivot in what I felt for a character across any show, as I do with Juliette. Like you, I was actually enjoying her villainous arc. Even her burning down the trailer and getting it on with Renard, well, I'd assumed were actions that could eventually be redeemed. Second chances and all of that. But her hand in Nick's mom being butchered like that? Sorry. I hate you Juliette. Geoffrey from GOT level hate. Ahh. I'm nervous. Wish me luck. You're probably going to induce some second hand ugly crying here too.

2023-11-08 16:16:32 +0000 UTCSo this was actually Grimm's idea of a Mother's Day episode. Yeah, not kidding, it aired two days before Mother's Day in the US. A lot of people were not happy with the timing of the episode and thought the producers had gone too far.
