I got so triggered in this episode! Parker can literally do one! I thought he was all sweet & caring but no, just, NO! Total Poophead! So many changes with relationships in this one. Xander & Anya grew closer too but didn't end too well. Love to see Willow giving Buffy advice and being there for her like a true friend. Plus the ring of Amara was found & short lived in Spike's hands! Loved seeing Spike again! So now the ring is heading to LA! Yes then.

2025-07-16 08:42:43 +0000 UTCSpike is obsessed with Buffy, which we see more and more as the series goes on. Of course, you know that by now. That’s why his first thought, once he gets the ring, is to find her. I think that sort of thing is one of the many reasons this show is great. It shows, over and over again, whether we are adults or teenagers or good folk or monsters, how our motivations are not guided by logic but by our passions and desires. Actually, I think Harmony is more likeable as a vampire (because it’s a strictly comedic role) – she actually comes across as somewhat innocent. As a person, she was just thoughtless. Most people miss that she got bitten at the end of graduation, just as they miss Larry’s death and Jonathan protectively holding Cordy – if I remember correctly, I missed every one of those things first viewing. Too bad you didn’t include the very end, when Buffy and Anya and Harmony are each walking near each other in the park, in separate directions. One of my favorite endings, stressing the “relationship chaos”, as you called it, which was the theme of the episode.

It really turns off the re watch mode when you do 😭 I do really love re watching w you but it seems like with every fight sequence we got some kind of commentary that the stunt doubles don’t match up. It was in the 90’s early 2000’s

Parker is a twat, and only Willow can say poophead in such a way xD. Anya and Xander are amazing and Anya's complete lack of understanding of human convention make for all the best situations, always. As some others have said, that gem of Amara could be an entire season plotthread so it being one episode unused potential perhaps. but then at the same hand, that wasn't what this episode was a bout even really, and I kind of like that buffy does that sometimes. Liked the episode and look foward to thext one. Oh and yhea, Parker is a twat again

It’s a chance for us the viewers to take a moment with each of them and reflect on this moment in their journey and this particular crossroads in their character’s arcs. We can’t really always explain why something might be important without spoilers, so best practice is probably to just include everything.

2022-05-19 07:33:38 +0000 UTCThe whole episode is leading up to that scene and without it, the episode just seems to stop too soon. Combine that with the wide aspect ratio instead of the correct 4:3 makes me hope that she could maybe find a better copy of the series going forward. 🥲

2022-05-19 01:43:53 +0000 UTCOne thing I'd say is that TV back then wasn't just a different aspect ratio but the broad cast was for want of a better word "Fuzzier." So it wasn't as easy to see the stunt doubles faces and so in a lot of scenes it's way more obvious today than it was when originally broadcast. It's kind of like those scenes in Friends were the stand in is on screen because they show it in widescreen when it was originally shown in standard format.

Sometimes it’s a little hint but that was like they forgot to care 😂 still a great scene and the actual choreography was brilliant the camera angles and actors/stunt double positioning could have been altered a little I’m sure haha

2022-05-18 11:11:33 +0000 UTCI've always enjoyed the Spike/Harmony pairing in this episode and Anya is amazing as this 1000 year old ex-demon trying to cope with being human and having emotions and hormones. My absolute favorite scene is the last scene of Buffy, Harmony and Anya each walking off in a different direction as they contemplate their life choices and the path ahead. You faded to black just before that scene, but I hope you got to see it. 😳

I loved the ending of this episode, with the three women contemplating their love-lives in the dark. Not sure why your video cut out before it - hope you didn't miss the ending.

Although I wouldn't put it pass a college boy to not have proper bedding haha. Love the return of Spike. He's just so captivating on screen. I agree as well that I love his eyes :). Also, Harmony's outfits in the episode are just straight fire.

Parker is a poop head), but I couldn’t wait for your reaction to Buffy and Spike’s stunt double fight. It was hilariously bad when they switched from Sarah and James to their stunt doubles. They’re usually good with that, but when they’re not, it’s pretty blatant 😂
