If you just quickly glance at that thumbnail-photo it looks like Elon Musk is up on stage jumping with his fly all the way down, thanksgiving dinner style. Sure, if you look even a little bit carefully, it's pretty clear that he's wearing an ostentatious belt buckle, and that the low-resolution of the image makes the light tone of the buckle blend into his exposed gut. But why would someone extend that level of courtesy, for someone so ill-deserving of it? What could possibly motivate anyone to pull back on that most familiar of impulses: delighting in hating something you know isn't so? ..What kind of person wouldn't sink so low, if all you had to do was drunkenly squint a bit, and willfully misinterpret an image?

Jesper Ohlsson

It's for episodes with "dark, yet brave truths [incoming]".

Jesper Ohlsson

Interlude music is back. Hell yeah

fuck

...If you're going to do Robocop-shit like posting a picture of an empty street with a caption like "People used to live here! #GoodThingsPossible", you also can't get mad if you one day find yourself in the boardroom-scene of said movie.

Jesper Ohlsson

Fun Fact: When the hit broadway musical RENT was adapted as a movie, they intentionally made it as annoying as possible to dissuade people from organizing around housing and tenant issues. Now, I don't have any proof of this, but isn't the absence of proof - in and of itself - a kind of positive proof? The answer, is no.

Jesper Ohlsson

This is such a good fucking episode

Fuuuuuuuh

Mine are almost all gone

Great episode

It looks like mine came back up so I think it might be ok

It certainly is a downer

Did anyone else’s main podcast feed disappear?

Power water and sewer will not be back in some places for years. Especially water and sewer. So much soil was shift and eroded and moved that entire sewer and water systems are completely destroyed. Just like the roads that were completely destroyed.

...it only hit me right now that Elon Musk's "weeh haahwe woohne presahdent dat, dat can't wahlk down staaaaauuuyhhrrs..." doesn't even work. Of the two, Trump is absolutely the one that's associated with being deathly afraid of descending stairs. Famously so. He grabs onto people's arm like my mom. Biden fell a bunch of times - once - while going up some plane-stairs. And he isn't even running - Kamala is. And she can do stairs (I think). He elon musked his own prepared dunk. He's so bad at everything.

Jesper Ohlsson

I’m glad I’m not the only person who’s been reading “country over. Party!”

laihall

Sweeeet thanks for letting me know

Laura

Eh before Gaza it was different, idk about you but the almost weekly calls from Republicans to do something about the "migrant hordes" is not something that I enjoy listening to , which is what the next four years are going to be like again. Just caravan nonsense while having the ocasional activated (white) dude carry out a massacre using the logic that they are defending america. Now with gaza it is equally depressing since both sides are pro genocide.

Everybody should have theirs by Halloween, Laura

The previous bar (Dirty Goose) got priced out in a massive rent increase. Rent used to be $6k/month and now it’s $30k/month. Anyways, if any of ya’ll are in town hmu and we can have a drink across the aisle with some real deranged sickos at Political Patties

Yep. It's been a long time coming however that more people start talking shit about Walz.

I think the only one that took an earnest crack at it was Matt Christman, doing chapter by chapter till the end, with concurrent discussion. As far as I know, it hasn't been discussed on Trillbillies. Here's the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcE6QyG_VGc&list=PLjM2wiPBsuEfMqNmGcr1s_4ftNcBNXADQ Haven't read it myself, but got the sense that Graeber's argumentation seemed to err a little too much on the temptation to do Malcom Gladwell'esque "this stuff you thought? Well, guess what - it wasn't like that, boom" while Christman's critique of that was difficult to parse (being a little muddled by what I feel was akin to left/anarchist-pointless-squabbles-over-precise-differences-in-political-approach, and also just a little unclear in general, argumentation-wise). As someone who hasn't read it, and kinda has the general feel of history as "sure, that's interesting, if it happened that way. But now is now", it seems like a book that is probably as persuasive as any other reasonably considered "what were people like, back then?" piece of story-telling. And, from what I gather, this seems to basically be Christman's core opinion as well; ie, you take all this as a story, with whever that entails, if you also accept that most other reputable ideas of historical sociology are also stories competing for does-this-make-senseness. ..which I think isn't a bad impulse. It's ultimately very hard to get an accurate feel for what people's interpersonal existence was by doing soil-samples and squinting at a sliver of painted pottery.

Again… they don’t care if you DONT vote. You’re not ‘protesting’. They just don’t care…they don’t see you. When you Invest The Vote into 3rd Party, as small as you think it is, or a ‘wasted vote’….its not. Look at the Green Party in Oz. They have grown to being unable to be ignored by Media and they RIP both Parties to shreds and have built an even bigger base. It CAN happen here. #InvestInGreen 💚✊🏼✊🏿✊🏾💚🇺🇸

MYK’L ROCKS

How is everyone else going to do next four years if trump wins (I'm giving it 90% chance of it honestly). idk if I can do four years of checking into politics like 2016-2020 again. Might need to go full "just grilling mode" and ignore all political content which mean axing this patreon :-(.

chichi

whoever you got in a fight with is delulu. You don't put the lives of 2 million people in the past. Trump broke people's brains that they think having someone who is responsible for killing 2-5% of an entire country's population on their side is a good thing.

chichi

Remember that one of Biden's infamous gaffes that got him in trouble with Obama was saying that he, personally, was fine with gay marriage

I don’t think that is what everyone in the comments is arguing

William

I would give anything to have dick in a room with me and a baseball bat for 5 minutes

William

Boys, on a long enough timeline the sun will expand in size large enough to swallow the earth. I don’t disagree with a lot of the points you make, tarence, but I’m starting to feel like you’re seeing capitalism around every corner

William

Maybe it's pointless to say since the ruling class mostly stays invisible and quiet, but I think some people might be getting stuck on the faulty premise that the political class in any of these states is the ruling class. They are not. They are the kayfabe that keeps people hooting for bourgeois rule. Idk if that means anything and I know there's plenty of overlap with bourgeoisie/ electeds/ intelligence/ military... I guess my point is that it might not mean much if the political celebs like Harris or Walz or Trump don't comprehend the stakes of "the game" or the scramble for dwindling resources.

Happy slave myth also has ties to the ancient notion that slaves are not capable of acting morally and are thus dependent on their master’s guidance. I think Jefferson reiterates this argument in his notes on the commonwealth of Virginia.

Trixie

Tarence, have you read Settlers? Might make a good companion read to Black Reconstruction, which seems to have deeply affected you for the better. Great show as always, love y’all!

voteforjefe

i think you are being unreasonably charitable. if that concern was a priority then Israel would have been reigned in months or years ago. Matthew Miller was recently asked about the threat of nuclear conflict. he cut off the questioner and refused to respond. these people understand nothing except their own dominion. it's exactly as discussed on this episode, this is the same expansionist settler colonial project which founded America, there is no discontinuity. if that expansion ends then so does the project itself, which to our ruling class is just as bad or worse than nuclear war. so, like a shark, they can only move forward. our ruling class will continue doubling down on their presumed dominion over humanity until either they are defeated by force or there is no humanity left to dominate.

Karl Childers

I honestly think they’re worried Israel will pop a nuke off if they collapse. It’s the only thing that makes sense

Glenn Youngkin Did Nine Eleven

I literally just got an email telling me FEMA had referred me to apply for an SBA loan ten minutes before Tom brought it up. The language is was so deceptive and they made sure that *you should apply even if you don’t think you need assistance of any kind* was marked in bold.

Norma Louise

Outstanding episode. Thanks for confirming that I am not alone

Kevin McNamee

the future is not set in stone, there are many ways to affect change -- but electoralism is dead and buried. mass organization based in mutual aid and civil disobedience is the way forward. anyone who still believes voting to be the whole sphere of politics needs to wake up from their liberal bad dream and start connecting to material community instead of compulsively playing the electoral slot machine.

Karl Childers

I understand their viewpoint though. I hold these dudes in high regard (as I assume most of us listeners do) for their iintellectual analysis and well spoken, thought out points. When these guys are stumped as to the next move, it's clearly unsettling and frustrating to hear. However at the end of the day, you're correct. They aren't the torchbearers in this situation just because they've been given a mic and a small platform. We've lived under the thumb of oppression our entire lives and solutions don't just get turned on like a light switch. Deprogramming is the first step in the long process (if we even make it that far)

Cygnus_X_Won

If you could potentially remember which episode and link it, I would be so grateful!!

Afton

No

Cory

lol same

Cody Woodyard

Hmm a related book would be End of the Myth by Greg Grandin

Cody Woodyard

I think a better way to put it is, if all you’re saying is voting is pointless then you’re still operating under the paradigm that what to do with your vote is the essential question. While I think it’s clear that voting for Dems is wholly insufficient, that doesn’t mean not voting or voting 3rd party is sufficient. Again, I think they clearly don’t know the path forward but who can blame them? I think they’re just as frustrated as we are at the lack of clear path forward. I would reiterate though that some reconstructive conversations w other creators would be interesting. I’d love to hear the boys engage curiously and in good faith w some other folks

Cody Woodyard

I honestly don't think anyone would argue otherwise. The real question though, is "is he still zaddy?" Because then we enter into a more richly textured space. Let's hop on down to NPR and see if Ira Glass can figure this one out.

Jesper Ohlsson

Just saying “voting is pointless” proves the point; it’s a generalization that frees you from having to engage in anything at all

William

Has trillbillies gotten big enough to get professional haters with mics? This is very exciting news.

Jesper Ohlsson

...I guess I had never actually thought about what Israel "would do with Gaza" once "they have it", but tacky beach-front resort sounds about right. They're gonna do Neo-Florida with corporate art named things like Breathe.Joy and Nowness/Hereness, and it's just a bronze-coated circle standing up, or three pyramids on top of each other, angled oh so slightly every which way. It'll be the finest and grandest straight from the sculpture-folder of Sims 2. "This one costs 50 000 simoleans - it's bound to be good".

Jesper Ohlsson

"Look, I acknowledged that I stole your wallet. This wallet belonged to you, and now it's mine. I don't know why you're still mad at me. I said it was yours. God, you're impossible sometimes."

Jesper Ohlsson

Basic idea is that you always need a place to colonize and extract resources from at forcibly dirt cheap prices, exploiting labor pools to build labor intensive products for cheap, to counter the tendency of the profit margin to decline as easily extracted raw materials are used up (causing the cost of raw materials to rise) and as workers become either scarce or organized enough to demand higher wages, causing the price of labor to rise. If you raising the price of your goods to keep making the same $ per unit, less people will have the means and/or the desire to purchase it, leading to less total sales as people either stop buying it and/or start buying cheaper alternatives. I can’t think of a book because it’s kind of like all history but if I do I’ll comment again

William

@big bruh I can’t quite crystallize my thoughts just yet, but I think you’re saying something that I’ve been feeling for a while now. In particular, I think a lot of it is captured by Tarence saying something like, “Capitalism is apocalyptic” or similar pronouncements. I’m not in total disagreement with that, but how did we get to that end point? We seem to be missing a few steps of analysis that happened in your head; tell us how you got there. We do keep retreading the same ground over and over again, though, for a few good reasons, but it does annoy me when Tarence says the most doomer shit and nobody even challenges the pronouncement. Not because I think he’s wrong, necessarily, but it feels as if it’s an emotional reaction to the situation. Which is valid to have, but if you’re not examining your feelings at all, you’re doing yourself and everyone else a disservice. There was a person, in an article they read a while back, who was a climate doomer until he got on antidepressants and got on with his life. Thats basically my story as well. I know people have feelings against big pharma but at the end of the day you still need to live your life. The trillbillies feel like they’ve been stuck in a rut, spinning their wheels, not getting anywhere and I don’t know how to end this thought but I’ve said enough

William

Holy cow there are some long, weird sentences flyin' around up here.

AL

so glad you finally said fuck appodlachia & called them out for quietly getting rid of their zionist host!

Ethan

Yup, 100%. It’s not nihilistic to accept that there’s no way to affect change any longer. In fact, it’s the first step out of legitimize the facade. Matt Christman talked about this often in his CushVlog episodes, especially towards the end of 2020 when Bernie imploded and Covid broke everyone’s brain. I won’t even try to paraphrase him, I thought I remembered someone talking about transcribing them after his stroke. A wealth of his musings there.

Jessica S

I guess it’s not as much of a leap for people like Obama and Harris to welcome Cheney back into the fold. With many only a couple exceptions, they all supported the war, either by voting for it or by watching their words to keep their future political aims clean. It’s kind of like a play they all put on during the day for public consumption, but they all go to the same exclusive cast only afterparty where they’re all just one party, one acting troupe. God I hate this government.

Jessica S

Stop saying niggas. I don't care if you are one. You sound ignorant, and it retards your point. Voting is pointless. And the only problem with the trillbilles is that all their voice characters sound like Bob Dylan.

anthony potter

I can't reccomend u books, but if you look into the direct inspiration nazi Germany got for lebanstraum from manifest destiny it says a lot

TJ

Anyone got a link to that tecumseh passage? That quote Is amazing

TJ

So beyonce is doing the reverse taylor swift?

Mark Hardgrove

People getting mad at you in these comments because you’re ruminating on the literal self-immolation of the liberal world without proscribing actions for yourselves or us to take, like somehow that’s a failing on you, lol. Those nerds need to get real - our time for input ended long ago - the liberal project has no need of us, and will deconstruct on it’s own terms; the time to steer away from fascism wasn’t during Bernie’s ‘20 run, but when the Boomers decided selfishly to take the corrupt bargain of Fordist trade-unionist benefits at the expense of international worker solidarity. Our future has been writ in stone since the reins were firmly set in the grasp of capital, and the purpose of the liberal project since then has been to acclimatize the world to the inherent lack of economic control.

Kiel Wells

Death to the Democratic Party!

Grant Francis

Country Over? Party!

Karl Childers

I just think trump activates a ton of low information, low conscientiousness people that don’t like losers and are impossible to poll but vote in presidential elections. Combine that with the Harris campaign turning their back on people under 30, anyone that isn’t a homeowner, and anyone with a conscience that doesn’t want to support a genocide. And that’s before Israel escalates conflict to the point that America directly gets involved which I believe would tank any chance they have to win.

Kellen Singer

When Trump calls Harris retarded or whatever I think he’s going to win, but when he has Musk on stage I’m back thinking he’s probably going to lose

Uso Dayo

FWIW I think Tarence’s assessment that the Harris campaign will lose is correct. it could go either way, but I think 65% trump wins.

Kellen Singer

At 1:34:16 what show is Tom referring too? I tried to listen to it like 5 times and couldn't figure it out

Beatrice VonPage

Hmmm… I mean I don’t think anyone really knows what the strategy is and I do think it takes some courage to say that just backing the Dems is completely insufficient. I mean they’re completely correct about the deplorability of the DNC, But I agree I’d like some reconstructive convos from them, even if just for their own mental health haha

Cody Woodyard

Great ep! Hey, is there a good piece of writing I can read that gets to this fundamental need for expansion you guys keep referencing in the Confederate South, the Nazis, and now Israel?

Arthur Bray-Simons

...Tom dulcetly reading those always felt like it could go either way of "taoist tale of unstated, deeper meaning" or "petty, pointless nonsense from a dullard". ..I have a feeling that part of why they don't do those anymore - outside of "stuff increasingly going on" - is that "Internet-brain-worm-grudges" might have proliferated enough that even people who write to the local paper can't help but treat that space like an analogue internet-post. We're running out of room for recognizable, but uncommonly seen variations of being weird in public.

Jesper Ohlsson

Elon looking like he’s getting reverse raptured.

Norma Louise

Bring back Mountain Eagle Speak Your Piece!

August Gardener

It can’t move forward because they can’t acknowledge that liberalism has failed, hence they need to keep the veneer of it while absorbing more and more of the fascist right to maintain the same relative position. They have no vision of the future because their vision of it is the past where it didn’t work, except they pretend that it did, or that was something other than “true liberalism” or whatever. I think people probably know what I’m going for here. Like, “no, we don’t need to change anything because what we have right now is IT; (the whole end of history argument). It’s just these dang right and left extremists that keep trying to pull a leg of our stool out”

William

The US really is an open play-area of who can and can't be rehabilitated. They're doing the heavy lifting of echolocating exactly where the lines of "ew, fucking gross" and "well, maybe" falls.

Jesper Ohlsson

IMGONNASTOPYOURIGHTTHERE

Jacob Anderson

“Secrets of Magicians Revealed” lol I remember hearing Biden’s “specialty” as a senator was foreign policy and he def touted his relationship with Netanyahu in debates w/ Palin/Ryan.

Nick

@badoilcan weird flex, but ok @Cody I totally agree. I tweeted Tarence some positive words a few times, and told him just the same - go take a break! They probably got tossed with the rest of our comments though lmao. i think on Deprogram's ep about the debate, or Project 2025, at the end, JT had this very genuine moment of self-awareness regarding the position he occupies and guilt arose from sitting there watching it, knowing he was capable of producing counter-propaganda media of similar quality that could combat, or at least exist on the same field as that of the right. Whether or not the nigga actually did/is doing anything about it is beyond me, but at least he had a moment of clarity were he went "Is is possible that maybe I could be doing more impactful than critically satirizing the news and current events for people's entertainment". Either the Trillbilly boys have yet to face that reckoning, or they actively avoid it, or maybe the commitments to freedom and liberty they had were mere conveniences, and now since the single opportunity in our lifetimes to institute an avatar of the change they claim to want didn't pan out as they expected, as we hoped, the first time, they've abandoned any conception, any dream for a better tomorrow. Maybe they're just grifters fueled the fumes of the left's dream for collective social betterment like Trump is MAGA. At this point, as antagonistic as they are to us, their listeners, it seems they've internalized and applied the same playbook; "We know what's best and we'd tell you but you're too dumb anyway, oh you don't like it? well fuck you. just because i inspired you at one point doesn't mean i owe you shit, get the fuck out of my face pleb. ohyeahsubscribepatreondotcomtrillbillies...." These niggaz spent the first three years of this podcast cautioning against following that which they have ultimately become. Reasonably disaffected, but plagued by malignant, maladaptive scorn. Rendered impotent in imagination. It's sad. But moreso, it's boring. If I wanted to feel as if I didn't have any agency, that my autonomy was ultimately meaningless, I'd just watch CNN, or some other hackfuck like Hasan. These niggaz need to hit they own back catalog, so as a reminder they can hear themselves declare the importance of, and their commitment to the greater project of improving the material conditions of people's lives - especially in moments when the night is dark and it feels like we're powerless.

big bruh

I ain't reading all that. I'm happy for u tho. Or sorry that happened.

Badoilcan

Like I’d love to hear a convo w the deprogrammed boys or 1Dime or Asatar Bair or something although I admit I do love just the riffing episodes too just for catharsis and laughs lol

Cody Woodyard

It is sad listening to them just continuously deconstruct from electoralism post-Bernie and not really reconstruct. It’d be cool if they started having on more lefty podcast / YouTube folks and trying to imagine a future. But also I think their hearts are in the right place and they’re just tired. I’ve told my friends if I won the lottery I’d buy Terrence a sabbatical haha

Cody Woodyard

If the Dems are coming with the politics of joy, where is Rob Base and DJ Easy Rock? I’m talking that Joy and pain Like sunshine and rain Pump it up pump it upJoy and pain Like sunshine and rain

David James

lmao the last like 20 minutes of this was bout totally incoherent. since yall ain't reading the comments either way, i'll let it fly. yall position yourselves in the moral high ground, and obviously designate yourselves as wielding enough wisdom and authority to indict the ignorance in action, immaturity and naiveté of those individual leftists defensively aligning themselves with the democrats in defiant refusal of the nihilist, semi-ironically self-purported accelerationist, radical predeterminist resignation, and nightmare actualizing inaction, or whatever lazy fuck shit ya'll have found such comfort with, but simultaneously refuse to articulate even your own ideas for the better future you correctly identify must arise. nigga, tarence of all people (as a matter of historical fact, i understand) talkin bout the use of violence in the streets against fascists, while being so firmly confrontational to the idea of participating in the political or ideological development of those who may revolt with him, is no different from the paradoxes apparent in democratic party leadership as evidenced by the rightward creep of their policies i've enjoyed listening to you explore week after week. niggaz might rock out with you if you ain't say "fuck you you gotta figure it out" to everybody who don't know as much, and ain't got enough time as you, to read leisurely, much less actually digest shit as layered and multi-disciplinary as political theory. that's a privilege u got. jesus. nigga. quit being so fuckin critical of everybody else tryna have hope while you opt out and whine from the sidelines, something your privilege disproportionately permits you to do, if you not at least gon offer the bare minimum; the alternatives YOU can imagine. niggaz don't expect you to have the answers, but they also don't expect to be told there's to solidarity to be found with the person bout to pop a blood vessel reiterating the importance of community and class consciousness. if you smart enough to digest all this political theory, entertaining enough to gather and audience, articulate enough to make it digestible for the masses, why in the fuck are you so insistent on REFUSING to speculate on better futures? that's pussy shit. and aaron. nigga. i'm glad this shit behind a paywall, cuz u gotta be outta your fuckin mind. the unspoken, danced around implicit notion that people should surrender any hope gained from the "well-intended democrats dispelling the misinformation" or whatever u fuckin said to arrive at whatever "cold hard truths" surrounding the general machinations and failures of fema instead is a testament to how little experience you have with the priceless value of hope, n i hope it stays that way for you, but u a fuckin nitwit tryna suggest suffering folk intellectualize n critically analyze this fuckin tragedy as they suffer through it, so they can ultimately arrive at your contrived, counterproductive conclusion. fuck outta here with that fuck shit. i'ma keep listening but i gotta say, as i would to my own homies, u niggaz been acting like fuckin clowns lately. take a break, get some lexapro, go get some pussy, bussy, something, but u niggaz gotta stop tryna color the entire world grey while you pretend to hold a box of crayons. i'm so fuckin bored of this cowardly arc. & find a new fuckin third trillbilly. aaron get yo own podcast and invite them niggaz on or whatever, but u really fucked the equilibrium of this show, and black reconstruction ain't got shit to do with me saying i feel like u been rubbing off on tarence in all the worst ways. & tom the only stray i got for u is a few eps back saying something iike "people say post malone used hip hop to transition just making ado bout nothing", without the usual prequalifying hedge of "i'm not qualified to say".... if niggaz got a position n you don't understand it, or agree with it... consider our country's peculiar history. otherwise u bout the only pocket of sense left on this mafucka. christ

big bruh

"as you can see I'm not only MAGA but dark MAGA". ...Whenever he says stuff like this I can literally feel my basest, ugliest, most shameful capacity to be a junior-high bully from a Stephen King novel bubble to the surface. It's something about the stuff he says - his choice of words, the sweaty desire to be liked, his cadence, the lack of awareness of how he comes across - that activates in me the impulse for a kind of unspeakable, child-like cruelty; like imagining what it would be like to push your index finger all the way through the soft skull of a newborn baby bird. Because you can. And it can't stop you. It's an ugly thing. He's like Randall Flagg; igniting the worst in your fellow man wherever he goes and whatever he does. ...Well, Randall Flagg if he ate 2 pounds of near-expired ham every day and drank nothing but sunscreen lotion. Folks, he's hard to look at. Shoe wishes it was a fam.

Jesper Ohlsson

somehow, this was the first time I've heard Elon Musk's voice lmao

Rae Rae

Not defending FEMA by any means, and I think Tom was alluding to this, but FEMA doesn’t really have anything to do with the power grid. The power issues are because the grid is privatized and Duke Energy sucks ass. So we should blame FEMA for their own failings, but let’s make sure Duke is getting shit, too.

Really appreciate the commitment to covering the flood. I've read supposed left libs poo pooing anybody pointing out how terrible the federal response was. My college roommate lost his mother in the aftermath. I was only able to contact him yesterday after calling daily since the flood. And that was because of a temp tower that is now offline. It's sick. There's no response! It is just chaos

Every now and then I remind myself "oh yeah, there's an election in the US in like 2 weeks or something" and then get sorta mini-shocked at just how palpably "who gives a shit" the vibes are, on all fronts (media-coverage, Joe Shmoe, etc). Like, if the US just shrugged and quietly cancelled it I wouldn't be super-surprised. It has very "...guess it's time to clean the litter box" energy. US presidential elections used to be this relentless, bombastic thing coming at you whether you wanted to or not, and where you'd feel performative if you rolled your eyes at it. This time around it feels like I'm going to be called a nerd and shoved in a locker for even noticing that it's happening.

Like Liz from TrueAnon said. Musk looks like a frog on stilts

..the whole 9/11 thing and the entire aftermath of it is like THE fulcrum of recent, modern history. A staggering, almost unfathomable amount of (probably avoidable) changes came from it; all for the worst. It fundamentally reshaped much of the modern world. Like there's a clear before and after, and will be referred to as such in future history books. It's very funny to me that someone would have the sheer audacity to talk about it in a "why do you always bring up old shit for?" kind of way. It's THE stain of the US of recent vintage, and can't really be overstated. If W should be hanged from a lamp post for cravenly going along with it, then I don't know what kind of fate should befall the actual architect of it. It would be like blood-eagle stuff. It would be the kind of atrocious punishment that reflects very poorly on any society willing to carry it out.

I think about tarence’s teacher saying “Race War! Who’s gonna win!?” way more often then I should

William

Yes could we get an updated link. Looking to find a good place to donate but the doc doesn’t seem to work

Now I'm even more confused. Oh well, they say used cars appreciate in value over time, so I guess I can always sit this one out till the dust settles.

Jesper Ohlsson

Um, can I get a fact check on this, please?

William

For some reason I can only read this and hear shoresy’s voice saying it

William

Yes, duh

I'm not trying to do the parasocial thing, but I ended up getting into some very heated discussions with people over Kamala accepting and celebrating the Dick Cheney endorsement. Like people couldn't comprehend why I was so vehemently opposed to Cheney, and made it out like I was the bad guy incapable of putting the past behind me "and it's not like anything he did affected you anyway" and so on. It really made me upset afterwards because, I thought this went without saying, I truly do want to help people and I want to make things better, and I think Cheney is the antithesis of that.

Was not ready for Tom’s accent to completely disappear doing that snagglepuss impression. Talk about a jump scare

I googled "why is Elon Musk so hard to look at?" and "Elon Musk being fat on stage", so I've done my part for the algorithm today. (Quora let me down on both of these. All they wanted to talk about was his work ethic; not important questions of bodies in spaces).

I live around the Oklahoma Arkansas border and on the highway to work there’s a house that’s flying the American flag, the Israeli flag and the confederate flag. There’s also a sign leftover over from Covid that says “HONK FOR TRUCKERS FREEDOM!”

Cory Waring

I am listening now! This wasn’t meant to be a criticism. Just some light hearted fun. I love the fellas.

Richard Cochnar

Maybe listen and find out for yourself?

If you go the lesser of two evils route, you are still choosing evil.

I tried explaining slavery to my daughter when she was about five or six and she said “if I had slaves I’d treat them so well…”

So are electric cars soy and gay or are they based? Or are some electric cars based while others are soy and gay? Please help. It's difficult to keep track, and these purchases are very expensive. My family - that I do not have - must not have a father who is soy and gay, but one that is based.

Judging by the description and length, this is gonna be a 80% blackpill 20% actionable threats/call to violence episode and not a 90-minute unbroken riff episode where there are incredible impressions and the repetition of some ear worm phrase like “tappin on my nutty sack.”

Richard Cochnar

Elon Musk looks like he weighs 800 pounds. Not in the way a human would, but in the way a star is dense. Like if you bisected him it would just be a very weirdly thick mass straight through; not even a skeleton or organs. It would look like if you cut open a pencil eraser.

Jesper Ohlsson

I love you guys
