It makes it seem like Trump got got by a 14 year old with braces. This was also a lesson for me to not search for shit in the immediate aftermath, when uncensored images were out there, and very readily available. I can't say it was any close to being "traumatic", but I could do without seeing his dead face and then his presumably high school photo over, and over again. Cute kid; sorry he's dead.

That platform is accurate up to 500m, and by accurate I mean a competent marksman should be able to hit a quarter at 150m several times before missing. And yeah, I'm gonna do the "as a..." thing here because it's obviously necessary... I was on my unit's shooting team in last days as Marine and have coached dozens (if not hundreds) of shooters on many platforms. The assassin *absolutely* choked. He was probably scared shitless up there and couldn't get a level shot. At that distance, in the prone, his heartbeat and breathing probably knocked his aim off. That's why it's important to TRAIN so that you aren't shaking like a leaf when the time comes. These other "as a Marine" chodes usually don't know wtf they're talking about. Most have them have never fired a weapon outside their annual qualification (which they probably sucked ass at, trust me I was there).

Granted, we live in an age where completely innocuous and dry reporting sets people off into conspiracy, but given that, my immediate thought was "..dude, stop hammering home how incredibly unlikely it is that this photograph you're showing people is actually depicting what it is depicting". Conspiracy-people will do what they want to do either way, so it doesn't really matter.

It was developed to wound so the soldier that carries the wounded man off the battlefield is also taken out of the fight. A gun guy would assume he had one shot so he’d use a scoped 30.06 or .308 or .338 Lapua. You’d pretty much just use your deer rifle. I’m sure this dork used the 30 round magazine which makes the AR very unwieldy in the prone position as well. I know all this adds up to nothing since any dumbass can grab a gun and start shooting but I am a firm believer in using the correct tool for a specific job. Lol

2024-07-15 20:36:27 +0000 UTCI hate to be pedantic, but a 5.56 is approximately a .223 caliber which is just fractionally bigger than the .22 you use to pop squirrels, so it’s not a massive bullet. Most AR platforms are designed to be effective for up to around 3x the range that the shot was taken from and if the pictures are to be believed he had a magnifying optic on the rifle. Probably a trigger pull instead of a squeeze, aiming for the head instead of the chest, and a poorly zeroed rifle all account for the miss, as well as the reports that in general he was a terrible shot. That still doesn’t explain how he didn’t get smoked before pulling off about 8 rounds.
