Going to - I dunno - the second or third in command at BP's house and harass him is way too A-to-B. People will just immediately see what you're getting at. "Oh yeah, this guy is responsible, and you don't like what he's doing. Got it." Now, going to Stonehenge and splashing paint on it? Now you got people talking. They're saying things like "what does this have to do with climate?" and "these people are crazy" and "What? Why?". It really gets the conversation - and more importantly, the mystery - rolling.

Zen spirituality is just to peel the potatoes." he was obv talking about a specific discipline/mindset but i think it honestly transcends. it's just about being present and being connected to divinity through the work you do on earth, for yourself and for others. not because you're being tested or because someone told you to, or because the work itself will necessarily provide you with a comparable "return-on-investment". but because the work must be done, and you feel that in your bones, and doing the work in and of itself is also spiritually fulfilling, even if it feels comparatively inconsequential. you know who would agree? them quakers 😤
