2022-11-15 11:25:03 +0000 UTCWhen he talks about the box and tokens, I can't help but think of Catch 22's Milo Minderbinder: "And everybody has a share!" Scams all the way down. Tulip bulbs anybody? There may be something to the S&L parallel, but crypto I think is more like the fake and penny speculative stocks that were in the run up to the 1929 crash. Also I think this young kid idiot is a nice fall guy for the wider crypto industry. All the other large institutional investors that put pension money in, the marketing companies that must have sucked in hundreds of millions - a lot of people took advantage. But now we've found a young millenial/gen z face to put it on.
