2022-06-19 21:38:58 +0000 UTCYou know, I have had to read an insane amount of articles written by rich people who fled the city to either their summer homes here in Maine or to some small town with a large elderly population (Maine has the oldest population by median) during covid. Normally they were about how the author got to find peace here? or about how us simple hicks and our slow way of life taught them to take a break or something. A lot of them were complimentary of the state but weirdly condescending, in a backhanded way, towards those of us who actually live here and had to deal with the influx of covid cases that they brought from outta state. But “I escaped to Maine during the pandemic so I could almost kill my son” is a completely new one.

It could be that she enjoyed all of her partners and you landed where you landed. Or that there are other partners who did not even make the list. Or at one time you were the best but her preferences changed. It might be overly pessimistic to assume she lied to you for a year.
