Why Arkansas is Pronounced Differently

In this video, I explain why Arkansas and Kansas are pronounced differently. Oh, and why Arkansas and Arkansas are pronounced differently. Shannon (Mrs. Beat) and I got to travel down to Arkansas recently, so I figured I would get at least one video out of it.

I got it done early since it didn't take as long. Goodness, maybe I should be making these shorter videos more? Meh, my next video is guaranteed to be 20 minutes. haha

A special shout out to Lee Gonzales since I forgot to shout out his name in the video! He is one of my newest supporters at the George Washington level.

Speaking of which, I changed up the tiers slightly recently, so please be aware of the change. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support!

Let me guess. Meriwether Lewis was named after him? 😄

Mr. Beat

We all know the true mispronunciation, Louisiana is obviously pronounced Lewis-iana (my friend Lewis told me that he’s always correct and definitely not narcissistic to the point where he names states after himself)

lol I try to stay in shape. I just injured my back again though.

Mr. Beat

Unrelated to the vid, but you're ripped af

Levi Basinger

Yes, that is definitely how it is!

Pretty much isn't it KC/St. Louis is Missouree and everywhere else in the state is Mkssouruh?

Mr. Beat

Fascinating stuff! I was always curious as to why there was a different pronunciation for Arkansas. I live in Missouri where you can tell where someone is from in the state based if they pronounce it Missouree or Missouruh..

Naterade

Oh snap. WE GOT A TRASH TALKER 😁

Mr. Beat

Arkansas isn’t pronounced differently. Kansas is. (ken-SAW)
