Here is a quick video about my trailer impressions for the upcoming movie Midway. This is something I thought I'd release in the meantime while I finish things off for my main review for the movie Elizabeth. However none of you will be charged for this video since it's not one of my feature reviews.

The impression Midway's trailer gave me is that this is a goofy movie not intended for people who know or care about history. That's my only impression since I've never been paid to watch it.

I saw this movie largely based on your review of the trailer and I am glad I did. The trailer really doesn't do it justice. This movie does take on a lot of history and whether it does justice to what it covers is up to you. However, as a fan of Tora!Tora!Tora! and Midway (1977) I feel the trailer really doesn't do the film justice. It comes across more like Bay's Pearl Harbor and that's genuine shame. The little we do see of some sailor's personal lives is not melodramatic or embellished to create a love story a la Titanic. Just my humble perspective, but I'm glad I saw this one.
