I specifically watched the series because I wanted to watch your review. Really great period piece but you opened pandora's box with reviewing TV series! Another good HBO Western is Deadwood. They only made 3 seasons in the mid 2000s despite it being super popular but it's based on the historic newpapers that were preserved from the actual mining town. It's one of Kristen Bell's first screen appearances and Ian McShane puts in a top 10 TV character performance.
