There are some things I really love about Season 14, and some that I think are weaker. But I always love hearing your thoughts on them, and I'm excited to watch all the way to the end with you! Michael!Dean, (at least in his second appearance when he re-possesses Dean) I thought was a lot of fun. I think that that's when Jensen really god a hold of the part. As far as the argument Sam makes about Dean never considering killing him when he lost his soul vs Jack, I've always thought it a very weak one. Dean had known Sam his entire life - at the time, nearly 30 years. He knew Sam's soul to the core and knew he was worth saving. He has nowhere near the same certainty about Jack. Plus, maybe more importantly, Jack is on a whole different level of power regarding the damage he can do when soulless. Sam was just human, Jack was possibly the most powerful being on the planet. Dean had a lot of doubts when Jack first appeared - he was focussed on the danger Jack represented to the world, whereas Sam focussed on the possibility of him being a good 'person'. But hasn't Dean been shown to be at least partially justified? Jack ended up killing their mother. And torturing Nick at least briefly before killing him. Who knows how far off the rails he could have gone? I have never been a Jack fan. I don't mind him, but wouldn't miss him if he was gone either. Mary grew on me eventually, but I could never forgive her for abandoning her sons. Dean lashing out at Cas with mis-placed anger was really sad. But I noticed that despite Dean's declaration that Cas was dead to him, he didn't ask Cas to leave. I love Rob, so was a bit upset at the turn God took. However, I thought it a really interesting way to go with the writing. After all, there are some questions about God that are very difficult to answer, things he has done that are difficult to justify. I really loved the Nick plot (although the justification for bringing him back in the first place was nonsense). We had assumed that it was only Nick's possession by Lucifer that made him a villain. The idea that he was simply a killer was one I really enjoyed.
