Rating - 10/10 - When I wanted Michael to be stopped, this wasn't what I had in mind! Poor Dean, the cage is his own mind! Whhhy, my heart hurts. Plus when Cas was trying to find Dean, he found it so much easier when looking at the happy memories because there were so much fewer of them...someone grab me 12 more boxes of tissues please! Loved the concept of this episode though. Seeing Pamela again was nice too even if all being manipulated. Michael saying those cruel things to Cas & Jack too broke me a little, especially with it being Dean's face doing the talking!!

No such thing as a "mid season finale" on Supernatural. That's a Walking Dead thing. I mean sure, you can count the number of episodes and divide by two and call it mid season, but it's not written that way. TWD deliberately write a build up to their mid point and leave it on a cliff hanger. They go off for 8 to 12 weeks and come back for a second half. That's mostly because they produce so few episodes per season, plus the extra bump in ratings when they come back. Supernatural put out a normal amount of episodes, about 23 per season, and had a season long arch. I know it might sound nit picky, but it's one of those pet peeve things, lol. Mid season finales didn't exist until TWD started doing it and all of a sudden every TV show out there was deemed to have mid season finales by TWD fans.

2021-09-26 12:49:21 +0000 UTC|| Live in a giant shoe…a new shoe ofc xD|| Loved this one too. The idea of using the handcuffs to disable his powers for a while was just smart. Would’ve never thought of that lol. Dean’s (only) happy place in his own bar…gosh I was so happy for him but also sad cuz all the memories and all the sad stuff in his mind u can see how done he is. He’s struggling w all that and doesn’t have space for good stuff. When they managed to lock Michael in the room the idea of using a screwdriver to keep him locked up was a bit…u know…sloppy. They could’ve used something else but yeah anyways he’s trapped and that’s good. When Billy showed up I got the chills…I knew that she doesn’t have good news for him…the books where rewritten and he have to do something to not letting Michael out. All books say that Michael is getting out and will destroy everything using Dean as vessel EXCEPT one….the chills again…

2021-06-17 23:56:12 +0000 UTCPamela did make little sense to me, too. Maybe it was just a "who can we bring back this time?" thing. As for Dean relation to Jack, it is a complicated one. I think he cares for him, but maybe not not the vicerall connexion Castiel has with Jack, or even the deep empathy Sam feels for him. He only known Jack for two years, some of that time Dean was convince he would have to kill the kid. Maybe he is keeping a "healthy" (as in "classic Dean Winchester defense mechanism") emotional distance from Jack, the way he did with Jo.

2021-06-17 23:55:17 +0000 UTCRegarding angel's grace and Michael, there are only 4 angels that, if I can remember correctly when an angel took another angel’s grace, and they were done by - 1.Lucifer 2.Metatron 3.AU Michael 4.Castiel Taking another angel's grace for own consumption or other purpose is a big no-no (as told to us by the show for an angel), by an angel who is not categorized as a villain. AU Michael, Lucifer, and Metatron did it as something horribly, terribly bad, done by the big bad of the season. It is framed in the show as an extreme and shocking violation of an angel’s person/autonomy, for example, Metatron taking Castiel’s grace in S8 finale. Metatron's grace, on the other hand, was taken as a strategic retaliation against him by Castiel as he refused to give the answer on how to cure MOC Dean since he implied that he knew the answer. Meanwhile, Castiel, the first time he consumed the grace of another angel, was because of Gadreel hiding as Ezekiel in Sam’s body. It was framed as a last resort Hail Mary kinda thing that he did to return back to Dean and to face the angels' civil war. The next time, it was Crowley who is the one pushing Adina’s grace into him, to enable Castiel to rescue Sam & Dean from Demon!Dean. Cas himself prior to this incident was letting his body deteriorate rather than taking the grace of another angel. Since Michael!Dean is already presumably defeated, taking his grace without provocation of a fight is, let us say, not something admirable to be done by the heroes of the story. And taking another angel’s grace is the last possible choice that a heroic angel should be doing, like what Castiel had done, not when that particular angel is already tied up and down for the count. In my opinion, of course. But, MOST importantly, by draining an angel's grace, this would still leave his consciousness or his self in the vessel, in this case in Dean. There would be two conscious entities sharing one body. We saw Anna is still a fallen angel even though she ripped out her grace before she was born human. Metatron still the villain Metatron even when Castiel has taken his grace. Theo and Adina, the angels that Castiel drained their grace to power up his angel mojo were still angels in human bodies. And Castiel himself is still angel Castiel even when Metatron had drained his angel grace, albeit with no angel power. Though they can leave a little bit of Michael’s grace in Dean, but Michael is an archangel. Lucifer was still a threat to others even with a little bit of grace left in him in S13.

Dean being able to best Michael and keep him contained in his head, while Dean is still in control. And the bar had so many easter eggs! The props people and set designers did a great job. You gotta look close though, but there's a lot of goodies there. I was really puzzled by the lady who was trying to get Dean to sell the bar, and what was the significance of that. I totally agree with you about taking Michael's grace. It's an obvious thing they could have done while he was cuffed. So why didn't they?

2021-06-16 05:52:17 +0000 UTCi love this episode, love sam & cas working together to bring dean back, always love the cas & jack talks, they are always my favorite dad & son moments, they are both so soft, i love them, cas has become so wise. as for dean's happy place, dean's happy place being a bar with both sam & cas were by his side is so wholesome, although i also find it interesting that dean's happy place doesn't have jack in it, i know Michael is wrong abt how dean feels abt sam & cas but could he be right abt jack? does dean really consider him a son? i am not sure that dean puts jack on the same level as sam & cas but that's just me. Dean wanting to own a bar makes sense to me but at first pamela being there made little sense to me, why her? why not ellen & jo, why not lisa & ben, why not random chic, then i reached an explanation that made sense to me (just my interpretation), pamela wears a t-shirt that says "to hell & back" & i don't know if u noticed but she wears an angel wings neckless, she also has black hair & blue eyes, interesting, i know someone who went to hell & back to save dean, who has wings, dark hair & blue eyes that is a huge distraction for dean😂 , i just found it interesting that she wore an angel wings neckless. anyway, great reaction as always

Granted it would require fashioning a roof and airing out whether it was an old stinky one or a shoe with that overpowering smell of brand new foot wear. Wouldn't a peach eventually rot and decompose so goodbye house. And animals would wander by and munch on it though the fuzzy exterior would tickle and possibly deter them. ( I had a horse who learned how to peel peaches with her teeth and not tickle her lip. It was hilarious to watch. And... I digress once again). You can also water proof and re sole shoes, so there's a way to keep your walls and floor in good shape and pull those shoe strings tight against the chill and loose to welcome a breeze in warm weather. All I imagine in a peach is feeling slimy and soggy and even more uncomfortable with the hard pit dead center of whatever interior decorating you can manage, lol.🍑 🥾

2021-06-14 23:39:05 +0000 UTCI love watching you work through your ideas and suppositions. When you were so puzzled about what was happening I was actually shouting at my screen, lol. Jensen is absolutely chilling in this episode and the look in his (gorgeous) eyes is gut wrenching at the end. I don't think I EVER wanted an answer in a SPN episode more than the night I first watched this! You already know this but I'm confirming we both need a damn case of tissues to get us through this season. Doesn't mean it's all tears of sadness but tears are tears and they require tissues 😥🤧 so dig out those coupons. The scene with Jack so staunchly declaring Dean is strong enough to survive Michael pushes all my buttons and when Michael was wearing him down and getting into his head that sad puppy dog face rivaled Sam's. I hate Michael at that moment but I'm staring at Dean's face and the whole thing makes my head hurt! I also adore the scene with 'dad' Cas talking with Jack about preserving his soul. These 3 men care so dearly for Jack. It just feels so right that they get this opportunity to be fathers with all they have been through to reach this point. I'm babbling now. Time to wrap up. Unfortunately, I work weekends Fri - Sun so I can't join you for the weekly discussion. Hoping that will change soon. Hope you are doing ok. I too am scrambling just to deal with my own little world🤯😱

Some good episodes to follow & hopefully Ash can provide some convention videos because one in particular relates to the upcoming episode & it's impact on one of our boys, which when you watch the episode & the scene they're talking about makes it so much more meaningful & the scene is brilliant. Also you'll have the 300 episode to enjoy.

2021-06-14 21:05:34 +0000 UTCI LOVE this episode. This is where I feel Jensen really soared in his portrayal of Michael. So very chilling and creepy. The ending really leaves you hanging, knowing that whatever the book says must not be good. No way to imagine what it could possibly be. Time will tell. I am glad you mentioned it feeling odd for Maggie to be leading the hunter crew. I really did not enjoy them trying to build her from a bumbling non-fighter to someone who in ten episodes would be leading a crew. And then low and behold she is the only one who survived the fight, because she cowered in fear on the floor. Some people like Maggie, but her character is fairly annoying to me.

Jensen's brewing company is called the 'Family Business' and on tap there's an 'FB' beer... Texas Lone Star beer - Jensen's from Texas... there's also an anime 'busty asian' calendar in the background too! Has anyone spotted anymore?
