So well said Callie! Such a strong episode, all the emotions explored here & executed so well! I have to agree with that, the original has a special place in my heart but I completely appreciate the new vibe this has also, brilliant!

2021-05-30 15:54:36 +0000 UTCThis episode caused a bit of an outraged reaction with Yann’s (Lucas’s best friend - Jonas character) reaction. I think everyone expected the Jonas reaction and then felt the hurt that Lucas did when it went the way it did. I did too, to an extent but I did go somewhere else with it too, but I’ll talk more about that another episode, as it will be more relevant there. The scene in the couch late at night with Manon was just so heartbreakingly realistic. Who hasn’t sat on a couch with a friend and just held each other while you cry. For me, these heightened emotions were what made this season worth watching for me. The OG felt almost innocent in its exploration of the story, while this one feels so heightened in the terms of stakes and emotions. For me at least. I still prefer the original but this version was still brilliant to me and I adore it.
