Rating - 7.5/10 - TIME TO SLICE & DICE! A filler ep but fun none the less. Nothing too painful on my heart which was a nice break. Enjoyed seeing Dean smile & geek out over horror films etc. Some funny moments too amongst the gore haha.

Like this episode mostly for the outfits they are wearing as others noted above. From the pocket protecter to the plaid coat, but I love Dean in glasses and how he grabs the Iron Man mug over the cat one initially given to him. I'm a horror fan who quotes films that annoy others plus I love Halloween - so I feel Dean on this one and LOVE how Sam knows his brother so well, takes such an effort to make him smile and open up. They are adorable! It is not the best episode by any means but I appreciate it still. I guess I could watch these guys do anything...hence the 15 season run!

I guess it’s such as life though, we say we will do certain things and don’t always follow through with plans. Would have been a right laugh to see the boys in costumes though haha. Ahh so that was just a writing hole then? It felt so strange to me. Sam been through so much, seen so much, handled so much yet he seemed so terrified of the man on the stairs. It’s great seeing Dean smile. Always a breath of fresh air to see any of the boys having some fun.

TMOTW formula is nice now and then, I like them myself, if they have a sprinkling of heart and plot I’m a happy crappy for sure. That’s actually bang on haha, I guess you know my ratings from watching so long 😂 I need to update my post, I was in rush heading off to holiday 🙈

Nice seeing Dean happy, but it didn't help for me. However, it was cool seeing them call back some of the same things they did back in season 2 with Hollywood Babylon episode.

2021-05-25 03:34:01 +0000 UTCYes, this episode aired on November 1 so it was appropriate given David Yeager always strikes on the day after Halloween. What I was disappointed in, was that they talked about dressing up for Halloween the next year and Supernatural did not follow through and do that even though Halloween was on their regularly scheduled viewing night. Love your question...why was Sam so freaked out by the guy hurt in the stairs? And I will add...why didn’t Dean even ask what happened before he went in? Well, remember last season when they had Sam try to blow out the burning piece of paper? No explanation for Sam/Dean stupidity other than writers just choosing things out of character when it’s easiest for plot or for a joke. I like the episode because Dean is happy and smiling. But yeah the intro scene is way too long and parts of the episodes are kind of boring.

Always like the scenes of them talking in the car (the BM scenes). Loved the outfits for the boys in this one. The plaid jacket, short sleeved shirts, pocket protector.

2021-05-24 18:31:39 +0000 UTCHi Dakara ! 😊 Yes this episode aired just after Halloween. I remember that many people loved it because they were a bit nostalgic of "the monster of the week" formula. I personaly found this episode okay, not great but not bad. I think I wasn't as enthusiastic as them because I don't like horror movies. Giving your reaction, I guess you would have given it a 7.5 out of 10 ?

2021-05-24 15:30:14 +0000 UTCIt's interesting how many holidays Sam dislikes as a point of contention, haha. I wonder which ones he /does/ enjoy. And oof, their parody of slasher films! That kills me as a fan of horror-- tho usually not slasher, albeit there are some goodies out there.

2021-05-24 12:33:06 +0000 UTCFun fact - The girl Sam in this episode played the girl in season 1 'Bloody Mary' - the one who summons Mary and accidentally kills her dad. Also Stuart and the guy you recognise were in previous episodes too (season 10 ep with the ghost that haunted electronics and Stuart was in a season 9 episode). I think from about season 14 there's a lot of actors that get re-used in different roles.
