2023 Update!

So I had a thunk, and I realised that the templates and the format I had posted the tokens in was more admin work than actual drawing, which slowed down my creativity and effectively bummed me out. I think we can agree that changes are to be expected in the beginning of establishing a workflow, so I'm sure there are more things I will figure out and fine-tune in the future.
Here are the adjustments I am planning on for the coming months:
- New simplified Promo image.
I used to manually fit and adjust the tokens onto both the main posters and promos as well as the variant versions and it just took forever. Even with auto-actions it was a headache. Now there will just be the one promo image as seen above. The square format has been the most versatile template across many creators and platforms, so there's not much benefit from me trying to wedge and squeeze in my poor rectangular old parchment-posters into the system lol. - More unique tokens, fewer colour variants.
By removing some clutter work I will have more time dedicated to creation! I realise that GMs and players may only realistically use two or three of the same token before they move on, so having a whole bunch of colour variants isn't as useful as having plainly more tokens overall.
Starting out I will limit the variants to 3x colours per token, and instead I will release 5x tokens a month as a trial. - The alignment, size and monster type is removed.
The tokens I create are always made with detail and quality in mind, and I want the users to be able to size and scale the token to fit their own narrative rather than a predetermined size. If you want a teensy tiny dragon go for it, if you want a giant bat mount go for it!
I also believe creatures are more nuanced than a simple label, so removing the alignment and creature type gives more power to the GM to break the mould of a creature's nature and story. - POG tokens are removed as a test
This is more up to you guys so please leave a comment on what you would prefer. Me personally, I wasn't very fond of the POG versions I had made so far and they ended up cluttering the folders since each token variant would have 8x of them (40 per token pack, yikes).
If you feel like they were crucial to your gamestyle then let me know and I'll reimplement them!
With that said, this is a change I have been itching to implement and I can already feel a shift in creativity from my side. The starting month for this will be February since I have already created the variant colours for the January bees.
Thank you for the support, let me know if you would like any adjustments to this and what your thoughts are!
Happy rolling!
