Comments

Relative to the tension between record companies and artists in the Genesis song. It was written as punk music was on the ascent. Punk was in part a reaction to the perceived excessive complexity of prog. But just to prove that there really isn’t anything new, all you need to do is look at the lyrics of Chuck Berry’s Rock and Roll Music written in 1957 and covered by the Beatles, which include the verse “I've got no kick against modern jazz Unless they try to play it too darn fast And lose the beauty of the melody Until it sounds just like a symphony”.

I would love to see a reaction to the 9 songs that didn’t make it in the Discord vote. If we do a completely new trios FF, they will iikely come out at the bottom again if they even make it to the Patreon vote.
