Testing A Better Wood Gassifier

As little air, and as much fuel as possible for a gassifier of this kind. Pack it full and no worries about fuel touching the sides!

2019-01-13 17:46:42 +0000 UTCAbout how much air to fuel should be in the gassifier vessel? I grow bamboo and am starting to use a bamboo shaver and splitter to clean it into strips and strands. It produces a decent about of waste sawdust and malformed strips and I was thinking of making a gassifier. I was thinking of making a bundle of strips beforehand, and when a vessel empties slotting a new bundle into the vessel. How tightly do you think I can pack the vessel? And should I construct the bundle to touch the sides of the vessel as much as possible, or not worry too much about that?
