Tablet on it's last legs...

My 2nd hand mobile cintiq is starting to suffer from a defect where the screen deforms and separates out from the frame, causing color distortion and pressure sensitivity malfunctions. Unfortunately at the time I bought this 2nd hand so I have no warranty to fix it and while it's lasted me a few years, I was really hoping it wouldn't deteriorate this quickly, especially given that I'm pretty gentle and light handed when working. To put things into perspective, I bought a 22HD Cintiq back in the middle of college nearly 10 years ago and the screen is still going strong, now having become my girlfriend's new tablet. As far as wear and tear, after all this time, I'm only on my 3rd pen tablet nib. While being light handed has been easy on my wrist, it's apparently not enough for this mobile tablet.

So what's next? Well this current tablet still works but if I keep up the non stop usage as a computer screen and drawing tablet, it won't last too much longer and I'll be without a mobile solution for conventions (if we ever get to go again >:C). All that said, I decided to pull the trigger on a new Cintiq 24 Pro. It's not cheap but with how much I sculpt and draw now, I think I would make good use of it. If it's anything like the workhorse my 22HD is, it'll be a worthwhile investment.

All in all, I just wanted to extend my gratitude to all of you as my patrons. Your support really softens the financial blow of having to suddenly replace something so central to my work. Thank you all so much <3
