Yes, all your questions will be answered in time, it is fated! As far as Kouji Mori taking over Berserk, I trust in him. He is only going to write what he remembers being told so he wont make stuff up. In addition, he helped Miura write the Eclipse. He will do his best to finish his childhood friends life's work. As far as the movies are concerned, if you do watch them, watch after you finish the Golden Age in its entirety due to spoilers. I myself only watch the final movie and still some of the beats of the movie dont hit like they do in the manga because, again, they leave stuff out. They do include two characters that are not in the 97 version which are important characters, but still, I prefer the 97 and the manga of course. You can watch the movie when we are in "Lost Children" I'm glad you take the time to appreciate the art! I'd say the art reaches its peak in the "Millenium Falcon" arc. I'm abbreviating the name of that arc because it's fucking long. Volume #34 is iconic for its art. You will see when you get there! It belongs in a museum. Its some of the best manga art I've ever seen. You are remembering it correctly, when they first encounter Zodd in the anime, Casca and co. did not see him.
