IMPORTANT - Subscription Model will only change when I'm ready or before Nov 2025

Update: I've decided to hold off on this change until I'm ready, but whether I'm ready or not, the current billing model I'm using won't be discontinued in November 2025, so the billing model will eventually need to change.

Conclusion: Rewards delivery method will remain the same, nothing changes for existing members, unless you cancel and sign up again, you will then be considered a new member. And if you become a new member and using Patreon iOS app to purchase your membership, Apple will be applying 30% App Store fee to all new memberships purchased in the Patreon iOS app, but the price on web and android app will remain completely unaffected, so if you are an iOS user, it is recommended to use the web version to make any payment, just don't purchase memberships in the iOS app unless you are willing to pay 30% more.

Currently, I use monthly charge upfront billing, which is what has allowed me to send out rewards in the same month they are paid for.

Patreon will not longer support monthly charge upfront due to Apple's requirements, all the subscriptions will be migrated to subscription billing, which mean new members will charge monthly on that same date they sign up, each and every month. Patreon suggests creator like mine to deliver benefits at the start of each month to any member who has paid throughout the previous month.

Patreon recommend method: New videos will be sent out on 1st of next month.

Example:

Member who signs up on September 1st and 30th for September rewards need to wait until October 1st to receive September rewards.

This method is actually better for me to deliver rewards, but I guess nobody want to wait for a month for what they paid for.

So I guess I will stick to the current method, send out new videos around 5th of each month for members who have paid by the 1st and new members receive their reward on the day they sign up between 5th to 31st, and then that same day of each month afterwards.

Since I only get notification for new members, I will most likely forget to send them the reward on the day they join if they are LV4 or LV5, so remember to send me a message if you don't receive anything more than 24 hours.

Example:

Member who signs up on September 25 is charged again on October 25, which means you will receive September rewards on September 25, then wait until October 25 to receive October rewards because your billing date is 25th of each month, please message me on your charge date.

I'm also confused about this situation, if I find this reward delivery method is difficult to continue, I'll switch to Patreon recommend method.
