OTV: Chapter 4: Pages 108-119 (WIP)

I'm not quite sure if it's better to post these sketches in one post, or should I make an individual post for each one and then edit them as I go?

---- Below is a small summary of what's happening in the pages----
So, we find out what has been going on in the normal world of Undertale while the kids were gone.
Papyrus finds an echo flower with a different echo. (still deciding the best way to visually show the echoes, heh)
Flowey/Asriel and MK have a bit of a misunderstanding, MK is feeling a bit jealous and accidentally uses ice powers against Asriel (not sure how clear that is in the sketches).
Asriel opens up a bit to MK. Everything seems to be working out when they hear an odd echo.

It lets me enjoy the story concepts on the first run through, and then adore the visual styling when the final product is released, while being able to notice little differences from start to finish. Love the use of the echo flowers between worlds, and the conflict between Asriel & MK so closely following MK's injury & Asriel's subsequent transformation is a nasty little gut punch that thankfully gets resolved in time for things to not get *much* more out of hand. You're doing a great job, thank you for everything you do.

2019-12-28 03:30:10 +0000 UTCMarkSensei, I feel you on the resizing thing; on my Chrome browser, for some reason, I have to click over and over and over and over and over and it'll only zoom in a tiny smudge for one out of every 5 clicks.... It's impossible. This site's super buggy on my laptop. :/ BUT, if you're also on PC and click an image thumbnail in the sequence, and it comes up on your screen in a dark-background page view, instead of clicking to zoom, try right-clicking and go Open Image In New Tab. It'll then just open the image in normal zoom if your browser's set that way (or it'll only take one zoom-click if it auto-resizes). Even though you gotta close the tab, click the Next Page arrow, then do it again, at least it's less cumbersome than having to click a zillion times.

Anyway, to answer your question (again), I think this format is good since I don't have to scroll down with my eyes closed to find the chapter that I've read to. On the other hand, reading a series of images on Patreon feels a little awkward as I have to adjust the zoom for each page and then scroll down. It works better when you can scroll down the main Patreon page and read from there since the size of the images make the text readable without having to adjust anything. So posting each finished page like you've done so far is better in my opinion. I don't mind sketches being dumped in a series like this at all though, the more content the better! 😁

2019-12-20 17:52:34 +0000 UTCI might have spotted a bit of a typo in the last page, first bubble. "Well that's the first" maybe you meant "Well that's a first" unless my english is failing me. Anyway liking were this is going so far, it didn't cross my mind that Frisk and Azriel would frequently talk about the events prior to the comic behind MK's back and he would take it the wrong way but it makes sense. Don't think I've said it before but you do a REALLY good job with facial expressions man. Quite the wide range of expressions from multiple characters on these pages and you hit them all so well (undyne's face looks a bit off i think but it might just be the angle/distance) looking forward to seeing these colored!
