October, so, start buying Pumpkins?

Tex, Save voice as needed. I have heard it said that anger is a reasonable response to injustice. So I want you to know that it angers me that you have been treated the way you have recently, as I believe it is important to feel that righteous anger about injustice done to others. That being said, I respect your wishes on the matter and understand that you want the matter itself left alone. I just want you to know that people support you. On a lighter note, I thought it might amuse you to know that in a recent tabletop session of Fallout run in GURPS, I was able to engage in Vampire ninja(my character) vs. Werewolf cowboy(his NPC sworn rival) rap battle on a stage in front of a pack of other Werewolves. Tabletop truly does give us some wonderfully memorable experiences. As for my question. People have expressed interest in my running the Battletech GURPS game I mentioned previously, so I was wondering if you had any suggestions for how to take a party of people who know very little about the Battletech setting through the Amaris Coup, Civil War, and Exodus periods. My current thoughts are to either have the players be mercenaries that end up serving under Kerensky or survivors of the Black Watch who become the Ghosts of the Blackwatch and experience the events through that lens. As always, thank you for all the work you and everyone else over there do. Your perseverance and determination are an inspiration to all of us that struggle. If you can suffer so greatly and still endure, then none of the rest of us can do any less. I am certain that the Traveler documentary and Black Knight video will be well worth the wait.

(Whoops. Hit the enter key too hard.) I miss him. I'm angry at him. I am appreciating the ways we were alike and worried about the ways we are a little *too* alike. Getting some breaks to just feel through things has helped, but it's still a lot, especially when I am asked about helping with estate stuff, feeling financial pressure from the world around us, and 90% of everything in the US feeling like it's on fire. For anyone else sharing these kinds of burdens and navigating their grief: Take the time to breathe. Take the time to feel. Keep sticking to your guns, Tex. Keep making us laugh and smile and swear and sigh with resigned affection. Also, dear god, don't eat the egg surprise MRE. Mahalo.

Save your voice, Tex. I haven't talked about it much publicly, but I lost my dad a few months ago, and his memorial / wake was held a couple weeks ago. (He was cremated and at his request and my mom's wishes we waited for fall, since that was his favorite time of year.) I took a walk the other day and spread some of his ashes in a park full of changing leaves, and I think he would have appreciated the view.

HK - clever ways to solve problems that didn’t exist? How about the P7M8.

Your family is in my prayers, you asked for something spooky, I’d love to hear some battletech ghost stories if you know any
