Let's Rent a Movie!
Added 2023-01-20 06:09:08 +0000 UTCI remember when I was a kid in the 2000s, scrounging through DVDs and videotapes, avoiding horror sections that traumatized me. Half of the time I was present in smaller independent rental chains. I don't think I've been to Blockbuster, but I definitely remember being inside Hollywood Video at our shopping center. In this day and age, video rental chains are very much doomed to extinction thanks to online streaming. Can't say I miss them despite being a part of my childhood.
Anyways, I was inspired to draw a video rental scene, giving it a grungy indie feel. And I added a sex shop at the corner thanks to a co-worker's suggestion to include lewd videos.
