MxS Casino Update / Seal Stickers

Procrastination has dominated my everyday life a little bit the last days. That's why I set myself a goal. I'll send two new decks to USPCC by the end of this week! One of the decks is the MxS Casino "Stingers" deck.

For the first MxS Casino edition we made two different seal stickers. Standard in red and stripper deck in blue. Printing the blue stickers was ridiculously expensive because we had to pay for 1000 stickers, but we only ended up printing around 200 stripper decks - I don't even remember the exact number anymore. USPCC offered us to use their standard USPCC seal but didn't want to finish it all with a compromise.

Long story short, custom seal stickers are expensive af and in the meantime, I have also become comfortable with the idea of using the standard USPCC seals for the MxS Casino deck. When you look at the preview image you see the deck with a white USPCC seal. I have an older Bicycle stripper deck from Ohio with a white USPCC seal. I think it's the only Bicycle deck that I have ever seen with a white seal.

The "Orbit x Tally-Ho" deck was introduced at CardCon a few days ago. You may have heard of the "72 CardCon exclusive decks" with a red USPCC seal instead of the standard blue custom Orbit seal sticker. A few card collector's got upset about it. One guy even said he would stop collecting Orbits because of this.
Let me tell you a little secret, but it must stay between us.... 👀
The real reason the Tally-Ho Orbits have a red seal is because the actual seal stickers didn't get done in time. USPCC asked Chris what they should do and he simply said that they should put a red seal on them. It would be better than no seal.
And of course, the red seal makes this deck for these people more interesting, but when you get right down to it, it's ridiculous to see it as something better. It's the exact same deck, just with another seal.

Anyway, this seal sticker "drama" brought me to the idea: "what if we simply put four different colored seals on the same deck?" You may think I just wanna see the world burn but no - not yet :D There would be an equal number of stickers. So no deck would be more limited than another. And four different seal colors would be in one collector's box, so you don't even need to search forever. This is currently my favorite idea. Let me know what you think.

Otherwise I like the idea of using two different seal stickers. White and black. One color that you can get in all shops and the other color is exclusively available on blackroses.cards/remedies.cards.

Let me know what you think about these ideas and which seal color you prefer. I like white the most. It looks different than the other seals and you aren't already bored of seeing them so often.

Much love

Daniel

Different seal for v1 print runs would be cool like a white for v1 then another for v2.i like the Patreon idea. But that might be expensive if you have to buy seals in bulk.

I agree about the white seal. I think it looks the best! The only other one I perfer is the black. If there is a stripper deck and standard deck the and seals were going to be used to differentiate between the two then those, like the other casino decks, would be the ones that would look the best in my opinion. But definitely the white is on point!

Alex Will

Two seal option sounds the better, with the 2nd one being a patreon exclusive?

Dwayne Dibley

No, you are right. I have also reconsidered everything. I think I‘ll do the white seal only. I'll share more tomorrow.

I like the white seal. As for the four seal colours for the same run in a collectors box. I am not sure. I seems like a way just to sell more of the same deck. Personally I think the different seal colour should signify something, if not what's the point. Why should you buy four decks with different colour seals, if the decks are the same. I Collect decks not Seals. Sorry if that sounds harsh.

Love the idea of having different deals from different vendors. With that idea behind it, I think the different seals is a great idea!

Jaren Barlocker

White seal is a nice change and look especially with the design

Kane Dinsay

I still like the idea but you have a point that makes me rethink.

This deck 🤯 So amazing and what a crisp look! About the seals, I can see both sides and personally I like the way they all look on the deck. White is my fav but the others go really well with it.

I was also surprised to see all the drama around the seal with Orbit/TallyHo's, and though I'm a collector I'm not willing to pay insane prices for the same deck with different seal colour. That's why I liked the idea of 4 different seal colours but same print runs for all of them. It adds some healthy collecting vibes while enjoying a high quality deck without feeling scammed.

Also, if you make equal quantities it will be interesting to see what happens with time. Like maybe a color ends up being more collectible for X reason

Marc Pérez Estada

I love both ideas but the 4 colors in the collector box sounds more fun

Marc Pérez Estada

Not a dan of different colored seals for the same deck on the same release. Maybe a different seal per print run to tell the difference would work. But i love that white seal on this deck.

Danny Carey

I like the idea of 4 in a collectors box and also the 2 different seals . I cant decide which I like more. I absolutely can't wait for this deck no matter what seal you decide
