Added 2021-03-21 17:05:41 +0000 UTCActually I just wanted to write a small introduction to show you the second color of the Immergrün double backer but I realized the text got too long and it's something that I don't want to connect with the Immergrün deck. So I simply make a separate post out of it. This really f*cked up my day, that's why I want to share it with you to get rid of it.

Beauties, there are many thoughts in my head that I want to share with you.
Right now you can find a video about the Remedies in the playingcards subreddit. The guy who uploaded it is basically joking about my creative process. I get it, it's funny to create a video where you simply change the color of a deck with one click. Not even his idea but ok. I live in his head, rent free.
A few weeks ago I had to unfollow the playingcard subreddit because of all these negative vibes. And this post only confirmed everything once more. It's not the actual post which is so sad, the comments and the amount of like, probably over 100 people right now already, bother me the most.
Imagine someone is making a joke about you and 100 people are laughing and point with their finger on you. Think about it, it's so easy to say I should ignore it but come on... if you can really ignore it I admire you for it. The f*cking irony - the same people will buy the next Orbit decks in a few weeks and praise them to heaven.
A German model committed suicide after a shitstorm online a few weeks ago. I often have to think about it lately. Don't worry, I'm far away from that. But I hope you understand that all this happens on the same level.
It's a long introduction for the actual topic, but I want you to understand what I'm doing. Yes, I've released quite a few decks in different colors already. At the same time I also designed some of the most relevant and creative Cardistry decks in history. Fact. Work for three people.
I never pushed myself to the fore so that people can celebrate me. I never gave anyone a reason to talk shit about me but honestly, f*uck this modesty. People do what they want anyway without thinking for a second.
Look what I have done for the playing card world ONLY with my redrawn face cards.
The Riffle Shuffle Noc decks got almost funded to 300K and they use my face cards - which is basically 80% of the design. My face cards cost 15€. Everybody can download them on my website. I can't see in my shop system that they have purchased the files AND of course I never got mentioned anywhere. 15€...
Imagine you work 6-8 months on a deck of cards and at the end people thank someone else from the Orbit crew for the design who he has nothing to do with it. Just because I don't try to appear in every post.
I've been through mental breakdowns and burnouts for playing cards... You can't tell this to anyone who isn't in this topic. And all of this so that people write this bullshit about me and my work? That really isn't worth it.

Sadly we will always have idiots. Just keep doing what you do it works and you are being creative in a way that speaks to you and other. As for your redrawn cards I would sell them with a license. People can use the but must credit you as the price is so low. If someone wants your faces but doesn't want to credit you offer a second license with a much higher fee eg 150euro. I know it isn't about the money or having your name on the deck, but it is important you have control of your art and get associated with decks that are successful and the time and effort art takes to make it good.

2021-03-31 19:09:12 +0000 UTCFuck that guy Daniel, I respect you because what you do more than any other designer or Creator in the playing card industry, you don't come out with one or two decks a year that have the same logo on the back and call them carrots or fucking ice cream cones and sell them for $25 a deck after you hyped them up for months and limit to only 500 decks, you're not trying to get rich off it from what I've seen, you're putting out something that's nice elegant and useful for magicians, even your recolors have different gaff cards and different duplicates and tweaks on faces so he's really making himself look like an idiot for opening just mouth about something he thought he knew sbout so legit just laugh at him cuz he don't know shit what he's talking about and I bought every color of remedies as soon as they came out, we love you Daniel

2021-03-21 23:18:06 +0000 UTCI'm thinking about this a lot. It would be so easy to design a new Black Roses deck every two months. But that simply can't be the goal. If I look back in a few years I want to be proud of what I have created. I don't want the feeling that I just did something to please people. The last thing I want to create is a deck without any meaning for myself. And I know, over the years a lot more colors came out than I originally thought :D But why not? It's a long process over seven years already and I don't just release the same deck again in 10 colors at the same time. Every single deck is different. You know that and everyone else who bought them can see that. So from all people or companies who really just release different colors without any big effort, I'm actually the last person where people can make jokes about the color changes or missing effort. But remove all the different colors, then I have still designed over 20 different decks in the last 3-4 years. And there are easily the same amount of decks from other people who use my redrawn face cards now. But no, instead of appreciating that, people are hateful and spiteful - like you have said - because of their own failures.

I love your work, but id also being lying if I said I was excited about colorway changes all the time. I like V1, V2, v3's with some work in them but true to the decks before then. I also like the remedies, but unsure of why you're supporting Madison with your work. I'd prefer to see the remedies line end and you pick another style of backing
