Birthday Fundraiser

UPDATE: I've closed the PayPal MoneyPool last night where you have donated 635,55€ (!!!!). I also put a little bit on top and donated everything today. I'm so incredibly proud of how much we have achieved with this little idea. Thank you!

A friend of mine asked me if I can let this fundraising run until next month. She also wants to participate but she has to wait for her salary first. Of course I didn't want to refuse her request, so the PayPal MoneyPool will be open until the beginning of next month. I'm pretty sure no one of you has something against it. That might give you the opportunity to support as well in the next few days.

Nobody should feel compelled to donate anything. That's why I also don't want to make such a big thing out of it. I just wanted to give you a quick update and thank you again.

Needless to say, I'll screenshot everything when I send the funds to the Rexrodt von Fircks foundation and I'll post the PayPal confirmation so that you know the funds really go to the foundation and not just into my pocket to have a nice day. :D

My dear patrons, in all modesty I can really say your support is still surreal for me. Thank you so much for being here. This Friday I'm turning 32. For that day, I was thinking of something special that has nothing to do with my work at all.

With your help I want to raise money that we are going to donate.

Of course, any of us could make a donation to a charity right away and we don't need a special day for it. But if we're honest most of us never think of it.

My goal is it to see what we can achieve as a collective. I just wanna share it with you and a few friends. I think this is a great thing for a good cause that will motivate us all.

The funds collected through this MoneyPool will be donated to the 'Rexrodt von Fircks Stiftung'. A German foundation for cancerous mothers and their children. The foundation particularly cares about young mothers who are suffering from breast cancer, so that they get a very special rehab program, which is unique in Germany.

My sister gave me the advice to donate the money to this foundation. She was in rehab there with her family last year.

Every donation is highly appreciated. Even 1€ is already more than nothing.
