I love to find new ways to mark playing cards. But I don't like those systems where you need to study 5 years before you can read it.
Because of the simplistic back design of the Remedies there are just a few options to mark the cards. I came pretty fast to the conclusion that I just want to create a marking for the suits since everything else would be too complicated.
If you take a look at the bottom line in the feather you see the top end moving clockwise.
You see that the first line is clearly before the hollow shaft (yes I googled this therm...).
Like that you immidiately know that this is a Spades card.
Hearts comes closer to the hollow shaft.
Clubs is on the same line with the hollow shaft.
And Diamonds go past the hollow shaft to the right.
Hearts and Clubs isn't really easy to tell apart in the first second but you'll see you don't need longer than 2 seconds.
This system didn't make it into the first edition. I didn't had enough time to think about if I really like the system. It definitely isn't bad but I also wanted to keep the first Remedies back design as clean as possible.
