On the left you see the Rounders QD. For the Remedies in the middle I changed the viewing direction since no standard court is looking straight to you. I changed the hair, added an extra circle around the pupils and I changed the lips to match the standard court card design.
I've changed these details on the orginial file that I've received from Madison. On the last version that I've created today I've obvisouly changed the hair and I used my own redrawn court card file of the Queen of Diamonds.
I also try to change every existing court so that all my future decks will have my completely redesigned files. If you ask yourself why or if you don't know them yet, check out the following link: https://blackroses.cards/collections/all/products/redrawn-standard-face-card-templates
The drawing style is determined by the original standard court card. That's why people who say it's "their own style" or "everybody has a different taste" drive me crazy when it comes to custom courts. There is not much room for your own interpretation, only if you really redraw the whole court.
It took me over an hour today to draw only the lines (15 in total) in the hairdo of the Queen.
It took me around 12 hours to redraw every court card and it took me several hours to change all the details that you see now in the Remedies deck.
Honestly, if you look at all the time I spend on the design, it's a joke that we sell our playing cards for this price while other decks are offered for more with standard face cards.
Here is a not even very daring thesis. I put more time into the (re)design of a single court card than 90% of all playing card designers in their whole deck. Prove me wrong :D
Thanks for being here with me and I hope you like the improvements. :)
