More Beanies, Framed Strips Just Added to Shop

Beanies are back in stock! I am greatly loathe to make this a "merch blast" channel in your life. Very greatly. You are here for the Achewood content, not my "get rich slow" schemes. Once I make the shop public (it's still behind the "entropy1" password) these announcements will greatly diminish. But so many people had lamented that the beanies had run out yesterday that I want to inform you the beanies are back in stock and there's even a new color. (Framed strips are available again too.)

So voluminous were the lamentations over the sold-out beanies that I arose at 6:45am today to drive down to the Blank Beanie Warehouse and procure a few more cases. Well, actually I first went to George Morlan for a new water heater for my kid's trailer (he lives on a farm out in the country and trains horses) and then I procured said blank beanies. Then I went back to the studio and zoned out at my sewing machine for a few hours. Because I want your head to be simultaneously warm and stylish this holiday season.

That said, New Shipping Dude is working out great, and packing the deluge of new orders as you read this actual sentence. And I am getting back to work on Friday's strip, which will begin the denouement of the Mushroom Journey arc.

Put a message below if there's anything you need to know about water heaters. I am now a minor expert on the subject.

This is triumphant news. Thank you!

That shirt is 100% cotton. All the bullet points for all the shirts were copied and pasted from the manufacturer's site for that blank tee. My editorial descriptions are, as usual, the source of error. Thanks for asking!

Chris Onstad

I have deviant urges and therefore astrological professionals advise me not to purchase polyester. I notice that some shirts such as the Famous Smorgasbord shirt are labeled 100% cotton in the bullet points but described as poly-cotton in the text. Could you clarify which shirts are definitely 100% cotton so I can satisfy my terrible urge to consume only traditionally flammable fibers?

KTB

I ordered one of these beanies, and it arrived today, and it is excellent! Thank you!

Tankless? Radiant? You one ‘a them…fancy lads? (This is a movie quote, but I am sadly not anywhere near having an answer to this higher-end problem. The thermostat on this tank is beneath a panel you have to unscrew, which I of course located in a place that can no longer be accessed without a sawzall)

Chris Onstad

I've got a tankless water heater that also feeds our radiant floors, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the thermostat hooked up to it in a way that makes sense. Every attempt I make brings me closer to becoming the subject of a new fable that'll be read to future generations. Or maybe just a denied homeowner's insurance claim. I realize that I'm just another layperson with no background in plumbing, HVAC, or philosophy, so I bring my question to you: what kind of god would allow such a cruel universe to exist?

Thanks for checking in on that - I had to look in my spam folder, oddly. Sorting it out this morning.

Chris Onstad

I emailed you!

What's the email address? I can give you as much detail as possible but all I have is my name and address and what I ordered: embarrassingly, I did not write down my order number or screen cap it.

Captain Chaos

Thanks so much for ordering! Our shop automatically sends an email as soon as you place the order, so perhaps it’s in your junk? (Folder) if you email me your order name or number I’ll check on the status for you.

Chris Onstad

Hey so I placed an order and just realized I never got any kind of confirmation email: I didn't see any links on the shop site so I wanted to know what I could do to check it. Thanks!

Captain Chaos

Oh that is good to know! I’ve wanted a copy of the Kinky Aberlour strip for 20 years.

Heather J

I’m very happy to receive news of merchandise anytime. I’m so relieved that I didn’t miss out on the beanie, I hope you bring back the individual character art. I need Molly…

Omurice

Same. I suffer from big fat cartoon head, and most beanies are just very cozy yarmulkes on me. Would love to be able just to buy the patch.

Eric Rogers

thank thanks!

Pete Williams

I'm sorry to say I'm not really a beanie-wearing kind of guy, but is there any chance of you turning that embroidery design into such as a sew-on or iron-on patch? That's something that I could definitely be into!

USPS marks the lost mail case as "It Is A Shame"

Ken

In an effort to provide closure for you, and by extension, all of us, I hunted down and killed the UPS driver responsible for the "mishap" and I wear his skin like a wedding dress

Yelahneb Unicornucopiax

you're too kind! Really appreciate it <3

Laura Prado

Hey! Just order a beanie and include a note about refunding your shipping on your second order. Paste this reply in the Notes field when you check out. Thanks!

Chris Onstad

I'm not even sure how that would work, but why not ask (:

Laura Prado

Question: I want a beanie but put an order in yesterday for other merch! Would it be possible to add the beanie to my existing order and calculate shipping accordingly? I added the beanie to the cart now and shipping is the same as it was for the other order :now-panic-and-freak-out:

Laura Prado

That Pat glass sure is. Something.

Ray

Super stoked to have just purchased a beanie. Thanks for keeping my head warm and stylish. If anyone is on the fence about buying a framed strip-- you can ADD A DEDICATION and get any strip you want. My husband and I bought each other signed strips when we lived apart back in the pre-married times, and now they hang together on our wall and bring us joy to this day. And now we have to explain to guests why we have a comic strip of a squirrel talking about f-f-f-fucking on our wall.

Brody

Oh, I definitely remember that--probably like 2005 or so? It's hard to forget a photo of a set of books that seemed to have been custom-soaked in lye for a few weeks before being peeled-out-upon by a USPS tractor trailer (perhaps reversing and repeating the process a few times). Thanks for the kind words Ken, and for sticking around! I hope your local postal service has calmed down a bit.

Chris Onstad

not sure if you remember but very long ago i ordered a bunch of signed volumes which got absolutely obliterated by the USPS. you replaced them for free re-doing the signing and drawings all over again. i dont mind these merch blasts if you're willing to hock your wares with that kind of dedication

Ken
