July Updates

Hey folks! Just wanted to check in and touch base with you all. I've got a lot going on right now, with some imminent updates to the Patreon, a bit of exciting news, and a few projects from friends I'm eager to show off.

In addition to the regular content I've been releasing, Sean (McRoMusic) and I have been preparing to launch our upcoming crowdfunding project, Beneath Titan's Cairn. Last year's Megadungeon map series is getting a full campaign write-up, with tons of brand new art, new magic items and monsters, and an original dungeon synth soundtrack! Make sure to follow the project on Kickstarter if you'd like to receive updates when we launch later this summer.

In anticipation of this Kickstarter launch, I feel like I'm overdue for a general refresh on my branding as well as a few other items that have been sitting on the side for a while. One of my amazing patrons stepped up to help me update my Foundry VTT back catalog last month, which had been weighing on me quite a bit. I'm currently combing through the last few years of work to clean up some posts, and as I re-upload the newly updated content, I'll be replacing the Patreon tier illustrations as well. In the coming weeks, all of my Foundry content will be fully updated for v11, compatible with v12, and posts will feature some new art. Here's a preview of what I've whipped up for the CR 2 tier:

In unrelated news, some of you may recall that I entered a Pirate Borg supplement into Limithron's Cabin Fever Game Jam in May, with my dear friend and co-conspirator Buddy Cosner. I'm really excited to announce that our submission,  Shanties of the Sargasso, won Best Layout in the competition and will be published in a hardback alongside the other winners. More details on that will be forthcoming in the months ahead, but if you haven't checked it out yet, you can grab it from the Patreon post or from my itch page. Placing in the competition has inspired me to put some more work into the project, and so I'll be updating it later this month with VTT materials, including tokens and map variants.

Finally, I am really excited to share a few crowdfunding campaigns from some friends of mine in the industry that are entering into the final stretch. First, we've got Fold-Å-Freak, a delightfully stylish and pragmatic game aid for MÖRK BORG and its various spin-offs.

Fold-Å-Freak is the printed random monster generator from MÅD Borg! 4 illustrated sheets to help create Freakish enemies at the table, compatible with MÖRK BORG, CY_BORG, PIRATE BORG, and CVRSED FLESH!

I've already backed this project and can't wait to get my hands on it, as this has quickly become my favorite non-5e ruleset for my home games. As a former map artist for the MAD Cartographer, I've got a lot of love for the folks on that team and loads of respect for the caliber of their work. Alex and Tony are really knocking it out of the park on this one!

The last project I want to share today is Arcane Armaments, by my pals Meditating Munky and Adventures Await.

Adventures Await: Arcane Armaments is a collection of 200 unique magic items for Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition. They’re perfect for filling the chests, vaults, and magical caches hidden across your world, or for spicing up encounters by giving the players’ adversaries tools and tricks they might not expect. Whether it’s enchanted swords, arcane-infused armors, or strange and intriguing wondrous items your campaign needs, this book has them all.

The base book contains the following:

Each item is hand drawn by the fantastic Meditating Munky and written and designed by Benjamin Palmer of Adventures Await Studios.

Also, on a personal note to anyone considering the physical map add-ons, Meditating Munky has his own large format printer and does all the map printing in-house. The quality is exquisite, as I've actually had a full set of my own maps for Beneath Titan's Cairn custom printed by Munky for convention use, and am blown away with how well they turned out (pictured below).
