A blocky structure of glass and steel stands at the forefront of the conservatory, with double doors leading into its massive interior housing a stand of palms. Beyond it, a hallway leads to a set of a well-lit chambers with potted plants, past a pair of small courtyards, and into a series of greenhouses. Separated into three distinct biomes are coastal, tropical and desert plants kept to conditions that mimic their natural environments. Pipe-heated by furnaces in the building's rear and spring-fed with water pumped from beneath the property, the conservatory provides a lush escape from whatever dreariness or desolation exists outside of its walls.
Hey folks, this one is loosely based on a local conservatory I like to visit on cold days when I'm missing my summer garden. I've actually made a point of working on some assets in my sketchbook while hanging out onsite and then coloring them digitally at home, so I hope you enjoy the (admittedly oversized) zebra plants and gloxinia in particular here as they were drawn from life.
