Progress Report

I'm continuing to make improvements to Damsels. So far a lot of that has been re-doing renders. The Blowjob renders, for instance, will now have full screen renders for all the characters. A lot of the stuff I did early on in the development of Damsels, nearly 2 years ago now, was a bit hastily done to get the idea out there. I don't regret that, but it's time to update some of those pictures and improve the look of the game, and I will keep working on Damsels until I feel that's accomplished to my satisfaction. There will be a Shamira-Khoraja scene in the next version as well, and I have a few other things on my list. Long term, I'm considering whether I want to try to "script" more characters for future versions or just focus on the four, and leaning toward the latter. I remain open to including more options for the option screen.
I have a bit of extra time on my hands this month, so I've also pulled out Strange Gift again, and am revising it drastically. I have no idea how long it will take me to get a working version of it out, but I'm changing the plot, and overhauling many of the mechanisms. The game will now focus on a handful of scripted characters, reducing the number of repetitive renders I have to make and also perhaps some of the grind. There will no longer be any random characters.. Basically I'm using the assets and characters from the original game to make a mostly new game that will be more like Bondage Island -- a harem collector with a finite number of scripted characters, and resource constraints that force prioritization. My goal is to include 4 characters in the "first" release, and have 1 or 2 of them be playable to a resolution at the end. No deadline or time guess yet -- it'll be ready when it's ready, and work will only proceed on it as time allows.

Thank you. :) I think there's tension between scripting (the extreme case of which is a novel, where you get something rich that holds together very well, but it's the exact same experience every time) and procedurally generated content, where the content is inherently less rich and personalized, but the experience is very different every time -- boardgames like Settlers of Catan or Splendor, for instance. I like both as a consumer and as a creator.

2019-07-12 12:48:06 +0000 UTCnot sure where to report bugs for damsels,coundt find a discord. So when you are in the desert and find an oasis your adventurers are "refreshed" but one frame later they suffer from lack of water including hp loss. makes no sense ;-) thanks for this great game
