Progress Report
Added 2018-11-21 15:01:28 +0000 UTCI spent all day yesterday working on Damsels, and I'm confident the next release will happen on schedule. There are still things I'd like to add, but I don't anticipate any of them causing a delay, as they are all pretty easy to test.
Today I'm working on Strange Gift. I expect to release on Monday, but this will be a very minor release, as I won't have much time to work over the extended weekend here in the US due to family obligations. Still, even minor improvements are worth sharing, especially for patrons who haven't played the most recent versions. Relatvely rapid releases do not necessarily imply that I think patrons should try each version, just that when you decide to play I want you to have the best version available.
The difference between where Strange Gift is now and where I'd like it to be continues to be large, and I'm at the stage where new ideas for additions are going up nearly as fast as I'm able to make the changes. I remember Damsels being in the same place -- the feeling that I'd never get there. I'm focused on making each version better than the last. As the saying goes, how does one eat an elephant? One bite at a time. And while I try to add things in a sensible order, sometimes it's more important to get progress toward the end goal made *somewhere* rather than to spend a lot of time figuring out what's most important to do next. I'm excited by where this is heading. :)
