Damsels and Strange Gift Progress

Damsels:

Work on the Bard character is progressing well, and that will be in Damsels 1.04. That will be the major addition this time around. The giant refactoring I did in 1.03 is being followed up with a steady diet of small scale changes and code improvements. I'm trying to get everything in top shape before adding content to extend the game beyond fighting the lich king. Starting with 1.05 I'll be turning my focus away from adding classes and towards making the game richer and more varied in terms of encounters, sexual actions, dialog, and progress beyond the lich king fight.

1.04 is planned for release on August 27.

Strange Gift:

It moves forward in fits and starts. Part of the challenge to this game has been figuring out a way to make it consistent with the model of a series of graduated releases. It kept feeling like I needed to release almost the whole game, to make any of it make sense as something other than a demo. At the same time, given that it is more render rich than any project I've previously done, it's particularly hard to get to a "whole game" place. I've revised the code to add some generic interactions that allow you to make progress with the characters, many of which do not even have graphics associated with them. These generic interactions will be replaced with full, rich, personalized interactions as the game evolves, but it gives me a framework on which to build.

The other advance in Strange Gift is that I've acquired some assets to make a much nicer club setting than I originally had (which was something akin to the club in Bondage Island and Damsels, based on a Yoga Studio asset.) That means it's full steam ahead on writing some kinky scenes and interactions. Anyway, my hope is to have something releasable on Monday... there's a fair amount of coding and testing between now and then, and as much rendering as I can manage while doing so.
