Could it be that over the last hundreds of millions of years, other civilizations existed on earth? Indigenous technological species that rose and died out? And that they or their artifacts are buried beneath our feet? What does science have to say about this and what are the implications for us?

And it’s interesting to note that we would not necessarily detect a pretty advanced ancient civilization, but I don’t know about this title selection. Putting low likelihood stuff that we have no evidence for (like advanced ancient civilizations) out with click bait titles (calling them “aliens”) might do more harm than good. A portion of the population will just see the title or, even if they watch the video, mis-interpret the open minded “we don’t know” stance as a much higher probability than there really is. My mother in law will mentally skip the “there’s no evidence of this” part and the definition of the term aliens and run around saying that space aliens visited ancient civilizations here on Earth, and I like to think of Kurzgesagt as something that reduces such nonsense rather than risk encouraging it.
