deeba shirt design finalized! check out my last process page

we have arrived at the printing phase finally . im not showing the exact final design arranged in the correct format until its on a shirt bc that feels like ruining ur appetite but here is the final page of design elements i chose from , and the transparencies ready to get exposed on a screen!

i really struggled with putting text on this even though in my vision it was text-forward..... i have this neurotic belief that if i write literally anything on my art, people are going to see straight through to my ugly brain. but when i ran it past people in the discord server everyone liked it so 2023 is the year of me getting over myself. thank you so much to all of you who have provided feedback, your input has been instrumental in getting this thing to a stage where it's print-ready and i think i can feel more confident in my design choices going forward

ETA last image : forgot i had this. i hate typography and was really struggling with designing the words. my gf suggested i get a brush and some ink and just write them over and over in a notebook to get more of a hand drawn feel. i was at the end of my rope trying to finish this design but i felt it might be the only way so i was like , borderline crying angry tears while i did it like a kid who didnt wanna do homework, but it actually worked out great for me. highly recommend this strategy. here's what that notebook page looked like lol

this week, maybe tomorrow or this weekend, i'll be trying to host a printing stream on discord where you can watch me make some of these shirts. i did this with the tegan shirts so i know it can be done . just gotta get my troubleshooting out of the way and make sure i have the process nailed down first .

for this batch of shirts i only bought sizes L through 2XL but since it's fairly simple and only one layer of ink, i think i'll place another order for more of a size range. i figured i'd grab a couple S, M, and 3XLs. if any of you would like me to grab a few shirts larger than 3XL, let me know!
