prefacing this by saying i am so sorry for the confusion, this platform does not make many basic things clear on the creator end and i didn't realize until someone with more experience pointed it out to me.

deleting the VIG tier DID NOT unsubscribe the people who were pledged at that level. on my end, patreon seemed to imply it worked this way, but it does not. the only way i can remove a patron is via blocking them one by one, and it's unclear if there is an unblock feature. i want to stay away from this option. 

if you have been subscribed at the VIG level and do not wish to continue paying $25/month without the drawing benefit, you will have to reduce or delete the pledge yourself. please be mindful if you want to stick around at a pledge of $5 or higher that you select a new tier so you can keep receiving other benefits until i change things up further in the future!

if you have been charged as a prior VIG patron for february and you do not wish to donate that money, please let me know and i will refund you.

i am limited in how far back i can go for refunds, so if this applies to you, please let me know ASAP! after a certain amount of time passes (i think three months?) the money can no longer be refunded, and as far as i know, once i withdraw the money for the month any refunds will be taken directly from my bank account, which is dicey because that goes straight into my rent check. i'd really like to avoid that. ideally, i want to offer a one month refund window. 

i am SO sorry for this mess, it did not appear this complicated on my end and i would not have known if another creator had not let me know. what i had not considered is that patreon is first and foremost a donation platform with optional benefits, so it stands to reason that a donation would remain unless the patron manually adjusts it after the benefit is removed. it is not my intention to take money from people haphazardly, so please help me help you!
