And since back then Congress actually had more people who cared about public safety than not, an investigation would have been made into the matter, laws might have been passed to prevent such tragedies, and quite possibly, ACC could have done this episode on something else.

2024-06-15 04:26:47 +0000 UTCI was at a Fleetwood Mac outdoor concert in FL mid 1970’s when a wind driven storm rolled in and collapsed the roof of the stage. Those of us on the field were dodging flying lawn chairs and coolers til it passed. Band was ok and came back out and finished the show. Saw many fans with cuts and bruises but all had smiles on their face. And here we are decades later having learned nothing. Great episode ACC!

Fair Officials have denied that any financial implications were considered regarding the decision not to delay the show.” Uh huh. Rrriiigghhhtt. Did anyone really believe that? 🙄

The sky minutes before it happened was completely black, it was just verging on very scary, but nobody was prepared for what happened. Everything was so eerily silent afterwards. Thank you for covering this. What a senseless tragedy.
