The girl didn't even know "clout"was a real word, let alone how to spell it. Yet her rich and famous parents could game the system to send a shallow and spoiled brat who clearly had no academic or intellectual interests, to an elite college. Meanwhile, probably hundreds of other smart, motivated, earnest kids and their working-class or middle-class families were working hard to play by the rules to get their kids through "the front door" to no avail. But Laughlin's kid was interested only in whatever the college experience could teach her about "game days" and parties. Sick. 😠😤😡🤬

Money (in excess) and brains apparently never go well together, generation to generation, an inherited con so to speak. Explains the essence of current society. If colleges are more like businesses than educational institutions--and they are--I'm floored at the depth of the scheme that this guy came up with. Incredible journey these years ACC, not just in the podcast itself but in the music (thanks deformr)! Music was so on point but I say that every episode. Every bit of this podcast is head and shoulders above everything else I listen to (I listen to about seven hours' worth a day). Swindled is still the only podcast I stop whatever else I'm listening to immediately when a new episode drops. Looking forward to every episode, congrats to passing mile marker 💯
