Two Month Update: New Tiers and Maybe Physical Merch?

Hey folks,

Thanks so much for your continued support.  I wanted to outline a rough plan for the rest of the year to give you all a taste of what's to come.

For the next few months, expect to see a good deal of content that, if at least in variant maps, is compatible with steampunk or science fantasy settings. You may have recognized the warforged titan in the recent Collector's Lair map pack, or noticed that several variant maps from different packs have used starfields or the phlogiston as their backgrounds. At the time that I started this Patreon, I was running a homebrew Eberron/Spelljammer 5e campaign. Unfortunately, that game has become a casualty of this endeavor, but I hope to build up a collection of maps inspired by those settings that I can one day use when the dust settles enough for me to return. In the meanwhile, I hope these maps can be of benefit to the growing niches within the community.

This month's boss monster token map will be a treant's glade. Thanks to all who participated in the poll. I'll be including the treant token and variants. After a recent backpacking trip in Shenandoah National park, I'm looking forward to painting a vibrant forest scene with some fall colors. I hope to channel the sacred feeling of the old mountains I had the privilege of escaping to last week.

I had a blast working on Meezul's Mysterious Mansion, and am happy to announce that I am contributing to another forthcoming holiday-themed collaboration. Expect a mid-December release. I've got several other irons in the fire that I'm excited about, but I'll save those for another time. Below is a little sneak preview of a work in progress for that collaboration.

I am currently open for commissions and am giving patrons top priority on turnaround time. I'm open to working on character portraits, maps, custom tokens, concept art and general fantasy illustration. If you are interested, feel free to send me a DM with some details of your idea and we'll chat.

As I approach my next milestone of 20 patrons, I'll be creating some new tiers with expanded rewards. I have been planning for a while to release a commercial licensing tier for content creators wishing to use my work in their own publications, but I know that's not what most (all?) of my current patrons are really concerned with. I am considering, to that end, to offer some expanded tiers that will also offer physical merchandise. You may already be familiar with Patreon's vendor merchandise program, but in case you are not, there are a handful of predetermined items that I could customize and send to patrons of different tiers. Patreon then handles the creation, fulfillment and shipping, and merchandise is shipped after three consecutive months of pledging and every three months thereafter. It seems like it could be pretty cool and I really like the idea of sending out physical art prints to my top-tier patrons, but I wanted to see what you all thought. For the sake of transparency, Patreon charges me an additional 3% on the transactions of all tiers (including the non-merch tiers) if I add merchandise to the account, so I am only going to pursue this if there is some interest. I've included a poll that lists all of the merch options. Please select any that would interest you at the Patreon-suggested price point. These hypothetical merchandise tiers would also include commercial licensing of all maps and access to everything in all the other tiers.
