For me, I think the greatest frustration about how it all shakes out is that there is a clear answer to a peaceful succession with historical support. Viserys should have abdicated the thrown and let Rhaenyra ascend while he was still breathing. Let the lords and ladies of the houses, great and minor, swear the oaths while their former king watched. Sit on her council. Be seen by her side. Tour the kingdoms together.
