I mean it’s definitely not a good idea to go see your girlfriend’s family for the first time when you’re all depressed & feeling bad. You want to give them a good first impression of yourself.

Sure but that's a weak-ass and kind of disingenuous argument because they're clearly paralleling events from real life here. They even brought up the complication with Russia which they didn't need to do if they didn't want to make it clear the show exists in our world. That's not to say they needed to go the exact way that things developed in real life, and they clearly didn't and that's fine. But I'd assume they're not trying to depict a fantasy world where billionaires are suddenly kind and generous and moved by grassroots enthusiasm. And if they were, I'd still criticize that. As I said, they didn't need to depict the exact same implosion of the Super League as it happened in real life, just give me something that I could believe could actually happen.

It's almost like the show is fiction and isn't a documentary about the proposed super league in REAL life. Plus, Rebecca's speech pretty much summed up the feeling of the fans which was the ultimate reason the super league never came to fruition.

This episode is the perfect representation of this season, it's a massive whiplash of emotions and pacing.

At this point, this show is really exhausting me and I'm just finishing it with you guys because I feel like I have to. It mostly takes me at least two sessions to get through each of these last episodes and this time I had to skip the over-the-top, like 5-minute cloying speech by Rebecca set to the melodramatic violin music by Nate, I just can't. Also ridiculous abandoning of realism to think she could convince all these billionaires to abandon that idea by just appealing to their decency, like come on. The reason the real-life proposed Super League failed is because of backlash from fans.

Quite a few people wondered if the little girl that played baby Rebecca was Hannah Waddingham's daughter, but she's actually very protective of keeping her private. She doesn't post photos of her face on social media nor does she ever share her name (though it is known from other people). I can't imagine she would let her be in the show even if she wanted her to be. She hasn't even let her watch it because of all the cursing.

Maple, have some FAITH girl goddamn 😂 Ready to call Roy “such a dick” for a minuscule tantrum that he immediately rectified 2 second later, thinking Rebecca was going to sleep with Rupert only for her to instantly swerve him 2 seconds later, bringing up The Penguin’s childhood to poke holes in Keeley’s encouraging text to Rebecca, etc. 😂 Tough crowd today lol

I agree with Arianna about Maple’s Nate-hate kinda skewing her perception of his current state. And I hated Nate too, but for all we know he’s already met Jade’s family. As much as I don’t care to see it either, I think they’re showing us that he’s turning over a new leaf.
And he wasn’t saying the thought of meeting her family was laughable, he thought she was making a joke about how many “Poles” it takes to screw in a lightbulb. She was, but in typical Jade fashion she responded like she was 100% serious, the type of dry humor that she knows makes Nate sweat. It’s just their dynamic. I wouldn’t want to be around my partners family either the week after I left a big successful job and currently have no idea what my future holds.

Can we lower Maple’s mic volume? Emotional climax of Rebecca’s entire arc and she’s ranting about soup.

Yes, that is actually Nick Mohammed playing the violin. And his wife is playing the piano accompaniment.

You might not remember this, but Roy's sister is the ER doctor who treated Sharon after she was hit by the car in season two.
