Question for Everyone!
Added 2020-10-18 15:46:39 +0000 UTCHey all, I've been discussing how to rework this Patreon with some friends to figure out how to keep it running without it taking over my life. I'm considering a few options to help out and would like your input! I'd rather not remove things that my Patrons would like to see.
One thing for sure is that I'm going to be dropping monthly sound libraries from the Patreon. I will still make sound libraries, and will still poll y'all for what you'd like to see, but this way I'm not trying to force out a sound library every month, and can take time to create solid audio assets for them.
On top of that I'm looking at dropping the tiers that include commissions each month for various reasons. First is that I'm massively undercharging for those commissions as a result, but second and imo more importantly is that some commissions overlap between months and it can get confusing for both me and the client to determine what's paid for and what isn't. Dropping these and doing regular commissions will remove that confusion :)
A third option as well is to drop down to bi weekly audio edits instead of weekly. I'd rather avoid doing this for a few reasons. First reason being that taking too long between posts can really hurt general promotion and ensuring the work is seen, and the second reason is that I don't think it's fair to run a Patreon and only post twice a month on it.
TLDR: Looking at a few ways to keep the Patreon running by removing monthly sound libraries and reducing some of the content I put out, and I would like to hear from you! Vote below and feel free to comment with any ideas you may have!
